"Owners want FAW-Volkswagen to give vehicle recalls"
Mr. Liu of Shenzhen reflected on the Sina Black Cat complaint platform that the Audi A3 car he bought in June 2016 has recently frequently lost power during driving, which has great safety risks.
According to reports, the Audi A3 16 sedan driven by Mr. Liu was purchased in June 2016 at Shenzhen Aode Automobile Trading Co., Ltd., and currently drives 95,777 kilometers. Mr. Liu said that the car has been no problem until December 7 this year, when there was an unexpected sudden loss of power during the driving process.

Mr. Liu told the special search reporter that after losing power at that time, he chose to stop and turn off the engine and restart the vehicle, at which time the vehicle returned to normal. Originally thought it was an accident, Mr. Liu did not care too much. But unexpectedly, the next time, the vehicle began to frequently lose power suddenly, and almost caused a traffic accident, which made Mr. Liu feel that the vehicle may have a big problem.
In order to find the cause, Mr. Liu sent the vehicle to the Audi 4s shop for vehicle inspection, and the inspection result was the failure of the transmission electromechanical unit. Since the vehicle has passed the warranty period, the 4S shop told Mr. Liu that if he replaces or repairs the electromechanical unit of the gearbox, he will have to bear the cost himself.
Later, when Mr. Liu looked up the transmission fault information on the Internet, he accidentally found that many owners of the same model also encountered similar problems with themselves. This discovery made Mr. Liu realize that the problem is not in the owner's use, but that the manufacturer's design may have defects. Mr. Liu hopes that FAW-Volkswagen manufacturers can collectively recall the same batch of vehicles, but there is no consensus between the two sides.
After learning of the situation reflected by Mr. Liu, the special search reporter also contacted the official customer service of FAW-Volkswagen and Shenzhen Aode Automobile Trading Co., Ltd., and the staff did not comment on the transmission failure problem in Mr. Liu's car.
On the black cat complaint platform, the special search reporter found that the complaints about the failure of the Audi A3 gearbox are not in the minority, so whether there are design defects as Mr. Liu said, because FAW-Volkswagen has not yet given a clear reply, the reporter has no way to know.
Lawyer Lin Bing of Beijing Jingshi (Shenzhen) Law Firm believes that if Mr. Liu questions the design defects of the vehicles, then convincing evidence is needed to prove that the vehicles that failed in these transmissions were indeed faults due to design defects. In addition, according to the relevant provisions of the Product Quality Law, users and consumers have the right to inquire about product quality issues from producers and sellers of products; appeal to product quality supervision and management departments, industrial and commercial administrative departments and relevant departments, and the relevant departments shall be responsible for handling them. At present, Mr. Liu can wait for the results of audi's investigation, and if it is delayed, it can be reflected to the relevant regulatory authorities.
At present, Mr. Liu has sent the vehicle to Shenzhen Aode Automobile Trading Co., Ltd. for maintenance. As of press time, the two sides have not yet reached an agreement on the transmission failure reflected by Mr. Liu.
