Bandan Dorji's home is in Wengguo Village, Langkazi County, Shannan, Tibet, more than 4,000 kilometers from Wuhu. All the while, he suffered from vomiting, bloating, and abdominal pain. Years of illness and pain left him severely malnourished, stunted in growth, and only as tall and physically tall as a 5-year-old child. His uncle Jigme Kampot introduced that when a child defecates, he often wets his pants, often does not pull for a week, and occasionally when he wants to pull, he feels a little pain in his stomach and wants to pull it out.

On September 28 last year, when the seventh batch of "group-style" Tibet aid medical teams from Anhui Province went to Wengguo Village to carry out free clinics, Xu Li, a medical expert aiding Tibet, conducted a comprehensive assessment of Bandan Dorji's condition. Limited by local medical conditions, after contacting the rear, on December 14, Ban Dan Dorji, accompanied by his father Tsering Dobjee and uncle Jigme Kampot, was transferred to the Department of Pediatric Surgery at Yijishan Hospital of Anhui South Medical College for treatment.

The hospital opened a green channel for the first time, arranged a single room for this special family, and gave medical assistance for serious illness. The team of director Duan Guangqi of pediatric surgery carefully formulated the diagnosis and treatment plan, and the anesthesiology department, operating room, medical imaging center and other multidisciplinary cooperation made every effort to do a good job in preoperative examination, evaluation and protection.

Responsible for operating on the child is the team of director Duan Guangqi of the Department of Pediatric Surgery. Director Duan introduced that the child's illness lasted for nearly 9 years, and the child did not mention how painful it was. When the child came, the colon was stuffed with feces, and the colon was not peristaltic. In the early morning of December 24, 2021, Duan Guangqi had just completed an operation, and the fatigue of the operation made his eyes covered with blood. After taking a nap, as soon as he entered the operating room, he played twelve points of spirit and led the team to perform laparoscopic perineal plasty + macrocolon radical resection for the child, removing the 34cm deformed colon, repairing the deformed anus, and preserving intestinal function to the greatest extent.

Nurse Sheng You'ai specially arranged for experienced nursing staff to care for Bandan Dorjee throughout the whole process. She introduced that when the child came, the hospital sent someone to the station to greet him, and in the case of a very tense ward, it arranged a single room for him. The child was severely malnourished because he was sick, so the hospital bought fruit and milk to increase the child's nutrition. Due to the need for surgery, the child must be given an enema, and the child can only eat liquid food. Sheng You'ai specially brought a juicer from home to squeeze water juice every day to supplement the child's nutrition. In order to let Bandan Dorjee relax, the doctors and nurses also prepared books and toy gifts for him.

"Bandan Dorjee loves balloons, and in order to relieve his nervousness, before entering the operating room, we bought a special balloon, and he took the balloon and smiled into the operating room," Sheng Said.
