In fact, Spyker has been looking for opportunities to return to the automotive circle, last year there were rumors that the head of Spyker was negotiating investment with overseas bigwigs, but it seems that it did not disperse, this year's investor group from Russia is ready to fund Spyker, there is news that it will launch an internal combustion engine supercar this year.
Historically, Spyker is also a century-old car brand, has been manufacturing a variety of supercars, customers are mainly the Middle East and Eurasian tycoons, it has also appeared a lot of blockbuster models, such as Spyker C8 is a very classic model. With its 4170c.c. V8 engine and passionate shape, it has also appeared in many Hollywood blockbusters.
Seven years have passed since 2014 went bankrupt due to debt, and in 2015 it was announced that all debts had been repaid and a plan was planned to be revived. According to the relevant person in charge of Spyker, they will reinvent Spyker as a new sports car manufacturer, and this confidence comes from "having better technical and financial resources than ever before to achieve our ambitious business goals".
Spyker plans to launch three models in a row – the Spyker C8 Preliator, the Spyker D8 Special Edition SUV and the Spyker B6 Venator. Once the written agreement is formally signed with the investor and the applicable trademark rights are obtained, production will be put into operation this year.
Specific manufacturing plans are for the production of carbon fiber bodies in Russia, engineering commissioning in Germany and Russia, and assembly at a new manufacturing plant in the Netherlands. And from the perspective of Spyker's production plan, the SUV in the former stillborn will be revived, and it is clear which market it is aimed at.
But unfortunately, at present, Spyker does not plan to produce pure electric supercars, which may also be a place where Chinese investors are not interested, if you get a pure electricity + intelligent PPT, maybe you can let Chinese auto manufacturers invest, just like Lotus.
