Yiwu Houzhai Street Lizu Village, about 9 kilometers away from Yiwu City, is an ancient village with 800 years of history of ancient trees and mountains. Not long ago, a coffee shop was opened in the ancient village, Pure Life Distiller Coffee Shop, which means "mixing cultural elements and heating and boiling into a new way of life".
Villagers called it "Floating" Coffee Shop, which wafted with the aroma of coffee and wafted a group of Tsinghua University students.
Originally from Taiwan, Yin Mingqi is a graduate student at Tsinghua University and one of the earliest initiators of Pure Life Coffee.
"There are no cases to refer to before this space, many complex coffee shops are open in the city, at the beginning there were many questions, will say that after your store is opened, will anyone come." But in fact, we have been open for more than a month, and we have attracted a lot of young people to come over. Yin Mingqi said.
The team of 15 people behind Pure Life Coffee has an average age of only 20 years old. They are from South Korea, France, Italy, Japan, Malaysia and other countries, each responsible for public relations liaison, publicity and creativity, procurement and selection.
They inject enthusiasm and vitality into this small space. They use this creative space as a "village experiment", which is not only a café, but also a boutique, a lattice shop, a salon, and a board game. It was also the first project for their team to operate in a physical manner.
"One of the biggest goals is long-term operation, and the other is how to fit it into our original philosophy. [Later] more cultural salon activities will be held to make the whole space more meaningful. Yin Mingqi said.
