But on January 10, 1929, zhang Zuolin's big arm was killed in the "Tiger Hall". This was later known as the "Yang Chang Incident". And the initiator of all this is "Young Marshal Zhang Xueliang". This is also well known. Whether it is right or wrong to kill Yang Yuting, all sectors of society hold various views on this matter.
Yang Yuting
Yang Yuting, formerly known as Yuting,Lingge,was later changed to Lingge. He is 10 years younger than Zhang Zuolin and 6 years older than Zhang Xueliang. At that time, when Zhang Zuolin was the commander of the 27th Division, he heard that Yang Yuting was good at strategizing, was a talent that could be created, and was known as a little Zhuge Ge. He was approached and appointed chief of staff. Zhang Zuolin is Bole, and Yang Yuting is also a Maxima. After Yang Yuting took office, he rectified military style and discipline, with remarkable results, and also won the trust and reuse of Zhang Zuolin. Since then, Yang Yuting, as Zhang Zuolin's chief of staff, has been following Zhang's back.
In 1918, the government borrowed 40 million yuan from the Japanese army to purchase a large amount of arms. This batch of arms was very tempting at the time, so Yang Yuting suggested to Zhang Zuolin that this batch of arms be hijacked. In the end, with the help of his classmate Xu Shuzheng, he successfully hijacked the arms. This batch of arms successfully equipped the Feng army with seven mixed brigades. Yang Yuting thus became the core figure of Feng Jun.
However, later, under the influence of his old classmate Xu Shuzheng, he tried to establish a personal force privately, and fraudulently received an appropriation of 3.7 million yuan to form four brigades. Later, this matter was revealed and zhang Zuolin was dismissed from his post. Zhang Zuolin also really likes Yang Yuting and does not want his talent to be wasted. In 1921, Zhang Zuolin reinstated Yang Yuting and appointed him to an important position as the general counselor of the Inspection and Inspection Bureau of the Three Eastern Provinces, and also served as the inspector of the Arsenal in the Three Provinces.
During his tenure, Yang Yuting encouraged the introduction of advanced foreign technology and hired technical personnel. The Arsenal of the Three Eastern Provinces was able to develop rapidly and became the largest arsenal in China at that time.
Yang Yuting did a total of four big things for Zhang Zuolin:
First, the northeast navy was established, which made the army self-contained and enhanced the strength of the army.
Second, the system of land grants was formulated, and a large amount of uncultivated wasteland was dug up from the hands of warlords and landlords for the peasants to cultivate and develop production, thus enhancing the economic strength of the northeast.
At that time, the right to the South Manchuria Railway in the northeast belonged to Japan, and the war preparedness road was built, and the Ministry of Transport was held hostage by Japan, and once the war broke out, it could use the road to negotiate with the Japanese army.
Fourth, supervise the Fengtian (Shenyang) Arsenal, make self-made weapons and ammunition to equip the army, and enhance the defensive capability. As a result of this, the military, political, and economic strength of the northeast has increased greatly, so that the Japanese, who have long coveted the three eastern provinces of China, dare not act rashly.

The Japanese had proposed to Zhang Zuolin the practice of "mixed residence" in the northeast, but as a strategist, Yang Yuting had already seen through the Minds of the Japanese and warned Zhang Zuolin that he would resolutely not agree. The Japanese also hated Yang Yuting very much because of this incident.
Yang Yuting and Guo Songling have also been feuding for a long time. Yang Yuting went to Jiangsu to take up a post, at this time Sun Chuanfang and Chen Tiaoyuan were behind the scenes. Guo Songling also took the opportunity to dismantle the taiwan, did not ask Zhang Zuolin, and privately transferred the three infantry regiments stationed in Pukou back to Jidong, stationed in the vicinity of the fengjun two divisions, and by the time Yang Yuting found out, it was too late.

On the evening of October 16, he was in the middle of a meeting with Chen Tiaoyuan, falsely claiming that he was unwell and wanted to take a shower in the back and then continue the meeting. When he got to the back, he immediately changed into civilian clothes and let Chen Yiheng, a driver who had been prepared in advance, drive. Ran to Pukou overnight. After Chen Tiaoyuan heard this, he hurriedly sent a telegram, but it was too late, and Yang Yuting had already fled. In the end, he returned to Beijing safely and hurriedly ended the Jiangsu trip.
The hatred between Guo Songling and Yang Yuting is getting deeper and deeper. Later, guo Songling's rebellion failed, and Yang Yuting falsely passed on Zhang Zuolin's orders and ordered Guo Songling to be executed. Guo Songling is Zhang Xueliang's teacher, so Zhang Xueliang secretly hates Yang Yuting because of this incident, which is one of the reasons why Zhang Xueliang later shot Yang Yuting.
On June 4, 1928, the Japanese created the "Huanggutun Incident" and killed Zhang Zuolin, and Zhang Xueliang, who was only twenty-seven years old, shouldered the burden. For a time, Zhang Xueliang, whose status soared suddenly, did not take it too seriously in the eyes of the people at the time. In particular, some elder-level people do not take him seriously at all, and even want to be proud of their achievements and cover the sky with one hand.
Among them, Yang Yuting and Chang Yinhuai were the most excessive. The two men are old in their own positions and hold heavy power. The two are often lawless, often teaching Zhang Xueliang and exaggerating their identity too much. Whenever Zhang Xueliang asked Yang Yuting about the situation or made a claim, Yang would say in a reprimanding tone: "You don't understand, don't mix it up, I will make a decision." ”
Another time, Zhang Xueliang was addicted to smoking at that time, and an official wanted to see Zhang Xueliang, but he did not see his trace, so he had to find Yang Yuting. Yang Yuting said angrily, "Han Qingzi inherits his father's business, and if he continues like this, he will be killed." Then he led the official to the marshal's mansion and asked the guards, "Where is the young marshal?" The guard replied, "Not yet up." Yang angrily came to the outside of Zhang's bedroom, slammed the door hard and shouted, "I am Yang Linge, hurry up, there is business." ”
Zhang Xueliang hurried out after hearing this, and as soon as he went out, Yang Yuting pointed at his nose and scolded: The old marshal is not like this in the world,, if you are like this, can the northeast do a good job? Zhang Xueliang couldn't bear it, and made an exception and replied: "I can't do it for you!" Although Yang Yuting is well-intentioned, because he values himself too much, he eventually makes Zhang Xueliang resent him more and more deeply.
However, in this matter that really made Zhang Xueliang kill his heart, Yang Yuting and Chang Yinhuai forced Zhang Xueliang to set up the Northeast Railway Supervision Office and demanded that Chang Yinhuai be appointed as the railway superintendent. Zhang Xueliang had no choice but to resign and say that he would say it again in the evening, and when Yang and Chang left, Zhang Xueliang finally couldn't bear it anymore, coupled with the stirring up of discord during the Japanese period. Finally decided to do it at night.
On this night, Yang and Chang were shot and killed in the Tiger Hall. There is also a saying that often goes: "Yang often goes away."
