He is called "Wang Tiger" by others, as his name suggests, he is as grumpy as a tiger, and colleagues feel helpless about this, but they still appreciate him, because he has made many military achievements, has the ability to fight in a down-to-earth manner, and the fierce appearance of using "tiger temper" against the enemy is really admirable.
The Japanese army naturally felt a headache for him, so in 1943, in order to eliminate one of Wang Laohu's divisions, the Japanese army dispatched three divisions totaling more than 50,000 people. It should be known that this was the early stage of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, the disparity in the strength of the enemy and us was enormous, the enemy's one division could withstand the nationalist army's one army, and with all kinds of advanced weapons and aircraft and tanks, it can be said that the enemy army was very angry with Wang Laohu and his subordinates. So what did he do to get the Japanese to use this unprecedented scale?
Born in 1897 in Linwei District, Weinan City, Shaanxi Province, the "Wang Tiger" was born in 1897, and his family conditions were very bad, so he played in the fields at a very young age. According to the villagers, when he was nine years old, because his grandfather frightened him that he would be eaten by wolves if he disobeyed, he ran alone to the pine forest to catch the wild wolf with a hunting clip and beat it to death, and also ripped off the wolf's leg to show off to his grandfather, who was frightened and lamented that there was such a scary child in the family. He was a cold-blooded and intelligent child, so everyone said that he would have a career in the future, either a hero or a tyrant.
In 1917, he was just 20 years old. He graduated from Xi'an Single-level Normal School, but he was grumpy and could not become a good teacher. So he chose to become a soldier, and I have to say that this decision is very correct, and his personality is indeed very suitable for fighting.
So he came to the Shaanxi Army's Mayuan Youth League, and with his bloodthirsty side, he killed the people, killed the officers sent by Jiang, killed his classmates and even his cousins. However, it was precisely because of this fierceness in his fighting that he was quickly promoted from platoon commander to battalion commander, and then to Yang Hucheng as a regimental commander, and later to brigade commander.
In 1936, due to contradictions with the central government, Yang Hucheng secretly contacted the Red Army and joined forces with Zhang Xueliang to launch the "Xi'an Incident", Wang Jinya was very supportive of Yang, supported the killing of Jiang or imprisoned him all the time, but Jiang finally returned to Nanjing safely, and he was angry enough to lead his troops out in protest.
Wang Laohu actively resisted the Japanese, and he took the lead as a soldier and carried his knife directly to the battlefield. However, it must be said that he was not blindly reckless, and he also learned and applied the chairman's guerrilla tactics and used the geographical advantage he occupied to eliminate many Japanese troops, which made them very headache. Therefore, the people under Wang Laohu did not obey.
Later, when Wang Laohu participated in the Battle of Taierzhuang, he found that Li Zongren was being pursued and immediately blocked the Japanese army, allowing him to successfully escape.
He was promoted to commander of the 128th Division. However, this division experienced several major battles, suffered heavy casualties, and was in urgent need of reinforcements.
However, after Jiang returned, he always hated Wang Tiger, and he had long hoped to cultivate cronies and weaken the strength of the miscellaneous troops, so he withheld the salaries of the 128th Division.
After Wang Laohu's violent temper came up, he directly killed the vice mayor sent by Chiang Kai-shek, led his soldiers to "stand on their own doors", and defected to Chiang's sworn enemy, Li Zongren, who also owed him a great favor, and went to the Hanqu guerrilla zone to set up his own small political power.
Here he supported his soldiers and made himself king, and under his rule, the people did not close their homes at night, and the roads were not left behind. During the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, the situation was extraordinary, and Chiang Kai-shek could only turn a blind eye to him and denounc him as an "independent kingdom."
However, he did not stop fighting against Japan and always insisted on "resisting Japan and saving the country". In January 1940, the Japanese army in Wuhan forced Wang Jinya's 128th Division out of Xiantao Town, but Wang Laohu, who could not suffer a loss, sent an army to retake it in March. The Japanese army was ashamed and angry, and deployed 40 tanks and 30 aircraft to fight with the 128th Division for seven days and seven nights, even though the enemy was equipped with advanced soldiers, they still held their positions, and after more than 1800 deaths, the enemy fled.
Wang Jinya's bravery led to the morale of his soldiers, who had been developing their forces here and harassing the Japanese army.
The Japanese really had no way to send three divisions determined to take this place and eliminate Wang Jinya and his men to relieve the threat. In May 1941, the commander of the 11th Army of the Central China Dispatch Army summoned Kono, the commander of the Japanese garrison in Wuhan, and asked him to solve the Wang Jinya Division in the Honghu area.
The first means was to persuade him to surrender, but Wang Hu's name was not a waste of time, he directly killed the messenger sent, and never became a traitor. So in February 1943, Kono sent 50,000 Japanese troops and 60 aircraft, plus traitors around him, and the 128th Division was soon in the ascendant.
But this unit was so admirable that they fought hard with the Japanese army, and in the end all died on the battlefield for the sake of the country except wang Jinya, who was captured.
Wang Jinya, who was captured, put life and death aside, did not care at all about the enemy's threats and inducements, or did not open his mouth. In addition, before he took the initiative to put the coffin of the dead Japanese army into the coffin on the battlefield, he was very admired by the Japanese army. At this moment, the other party can only make a mistake. It is impossible to kill, and it is even more impossible to put it. In the end, they decided to imprison the true soldier. It was not until the surrender of the Japanese army in 1945 that he managed to escape.
But Wang Jinya, who had just regained his freedom, was caught again, this time by Hu Zongnan.

He came to Yan'an hoping to join the revolutionary ranks, and such a famous and talented and ambitious soldier was naturally welcomed, and even received a handwritten letter from the chairman to welcome him, and finally the commander of the Fourth Column of the Northwest Field Army personally received him. He studied actively and became a special party member in 1948.
After liberation, this heroic figure served as a member of the Standing Committee of the Shaanxi CppcC Committee. He died in 1968 at the age of 72.
