Zhu Xianzhen's past and present lives

During the Spring and Autumn Period, this was the northeastern border of the Zheng Kingdom, and out of strategic considerations, Zheng Zhuang ordered the general Zheng Zheng to build a city in the area of the ancient city village, taking the name "Kaifeng" to open up the territory. Entering the Warring States period, Kaifeng City belonged to the State of Wei and became the southern gate of the Wei capital Liang City, and its military status was more prominent. Until the Western Han Dynasty Jing Emperor Liu Qi ascended the throne, because of the avoidance of the name of the Jing Emperor Liu Qi, it was changed to Kai, which was for "Kaifeng", which is the origin of the name "Kaifeng" today.

In the Sui Dynasty, due to the navigation of the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal, Bizhou (present-day Kaifeng City) became a prosperous land and water metropolis, and the Qi (Kai) blockade city, which was dozens of miles away, lost its former glory. In the first year of Tang Yanhe, the Kai (Kai) Feng County Seat was moved to Bei Prefecture, after which it became Kaifeng City. Kaifeng City was gradually abandoned, and after experiencing floods, it was reduced to a village. At the same time, two kilometers southeast of Kaifeng, a new settlement was quietly formed, which was Juxian Town. During the Warring States period, Xin Lingjun "stole the charm to save Zhao", and Zhu Hai made meritorious contributions. The Xinling Emperor enfeoffed Juxian Town as a fief of ZhuHai, hence the name of Zhuxian Town.

During the Ming and Qing dynasties, Zhuxian Town flourished due to the opening of the Jialu River, becoming a transshipment office and cargo distribution center of "South Ship and North Car", and together with Hankou, Jingdezhen and Foshan, it ranked among the "Four Famous Towns in China".

At that time, the area of Zhuxian Town was fifty square miles, and the grain transportation river passed through the town, and the docks were lined up. There are many merchants from all over the country in the city, and the traffic is busy during the day and the lights are brilliant at night, which is worthy of being the commercial and trade center of the Central Plains.

Since qingjia road, the Yellow River flooded and the river was silted, and the town of Zhuxian began to decline. By the Guangxu years, Zhuxian Town was completely cut off, and with the rise of the railway, soon Zhuxian Town became an extremely decaying place, with a population of only a few thousand people, one-fourth of the heyday.
