In the process of liberating Beiping, Fu Zuoyi's daughter Fu Dongju can be said to have contributed an indispensable contribution. So after the founding of the People's Republic of China, what was Fu Dongju's life like?
Fu Dongju, born in 1924 in Taiyuan, Shanxi, showed an excellent side from an early age, and in 1942, Fu Dongju was admitted to the Southwest United University. In the new school, she accepts new ideas every day and has her own unique understanding. Moreover, she actively participated in the student struggle and walked in the ranks of the War of Resistance.
When she was about to graduate, Fu Dongju applied for a job at the Tianjin newspaper, hoping to use her pen to publicize new ideas and help the country in its struggle. As a journalist, you need to run around a lot to collect information, and Fu Dongju is no exception. However, when she was running around, she would always make time to accompany her father. The father is a living person, but also will be lonely, in the aspect of accompanying the father, Fu Dongju can be described as a model.
However, although she loved her father, she was not influenced by his father mentally, and grew up to become a Communist Party, standing against her father's camp. In 1947, Fu Dongju joined the Communist Party of China. Later, in the Liberation War, the Peiping problem was on the verge of erupting, and as a child, she certainly did not want to see herself as an enemy of her father. But as a party member, she certainly wouldn't want to see Peiping destroyed.
Beiping is a city full of humanistic atmosphere, with many ancient buildings and a strong history. Such a city with ancient charm, if caught in war, these classics will no longer exist.
Therefore, by 1949, our side clearly had an advantage, and in addition, peaceful liberation has always been the principle pursued by our Party, and it is particularly important in the matter of liberating Peiping.
It was in this situation that Fu Dongju began to constantly negotiate with her father, instilled in him the idea of peace, and often introduced our party's policies and principles to his father. It is precisely because of this that Fu Zuoyi has a relatively comprehensive understanding of our party, and he also realizes that even if he is stubborn and stubborn, he cannot change anything, so why not conform to the times? Fu Zuoyi made the defenders lay down their weapons.
As a result, Peiping was peacefully liberated. In this process, Fu Dongju has the greatest contribution.
So what kind of life did Fu Dongju live after the liberation of New China? Some people speculated that Fu Dongju would enter politics. But after the founding of New China, Fu Dongju disappeared from the public's sight. It turned out that she returned to her position as a reporter and became an associate editor. She continues to use her pen to spread the message of her thoughts and guard the homeland she loves.
Later, she retired. When people reach old age, they will be prone to sentimentality, and in her later years, she often misses her father, which shows that the relationship between father and daughter is very good. It is said that she once wanted to write a biography of her father, but was afraid that she would not be able to highlight his father's legendary life, so she gave up. Until 2007, Fu Dongju died of illness and spent his ordinary and great life.
