Taiwan Strait News on January 2 (reporter Li Li yuwen / photo) photography uses the shutter to capture light and shadow, dance uses melody to interpret music, if dance meets light and shadow, what kind of spark will collide? On January 1, 2022, Jimei Arles International Photography Festival invited IDEA ART Art Center to witness a cross-border resonance of music, dance and photography art.

On the same day, in the exhibition hall of the 2021 Jimei Arles International Photography Season, 8 performing artists and 13 "little dancers" sang and danced one by one in a specific exhibition space, leading the audience into a New Year's artistic journey. The music and dance performance is divided into 6 parts:

The first act, "Time", by singing artist Hanna Kang, plays a prelude in French songs, leading us on a journey from France to the exhibition "Orient Express - Between History and Mythology", which traces the past and present lives of the Orient Express.

In the second act, "Traveler", young Chinese dancers Yi Lin and Zhong Shidong walk through the "Singapore Film Festival" "Crossroads - Seeing Singapore through the Lens (1870-1940)", "Photography: Portraits of Famous Contemporary Chinese Painters", and "The Natural History of an Island", leading the audience to explore Singapore's historical memory in the fragments of images.

In the third act, "Redemption", Filipino international artist Bong ANTIVOLA finds emotional bonds in the collector's story "Sabastio Salgado", using songs to evoke emotional resonance and awaken the humanistic care of "breathing with the suffering".

In the fourth act of "Curtain", young dance artists Junjie and Fang Ling led everyone into the Jimei Arles Discovery Award, and the dancers danced in the exhibition hall of the 2021 Jimei Arles Discovery Award " " Theater of the World " , redefining the boundaries of the curtain with a new attitude.

In the fifth act, "Beating", emerging performance artists Hong Bingbing and Dong Han responded to the Discovery Award with modern dance for the exhibition "Forensic Performance Act 1: Mobile Medium", which jointly explores non-traditional visual presentation between brokenness and fragmentation, in the midst of beating and shaking.

Act 6 "Light and Shadow", a small performer from idea art children's art troupe came to the exhibition hall of the Discovery Award "Basic Image Spectrum-07" to interpret the beauty of science and technology with the futuristic texture of a specific dance, and to amplify the aesthetics of science and technology in the microscopic world with the rhythm of dance.
