When the oil painting series "Memories in Feelings" was published
The oil painting "Memories in Feelings" 2 and 3 are part of the post-90s Nannan series. It shows that the color is stopped by a line somewhere in the plane, forming another new space. The colors brushed by the new screen draw moments with their own perceptions and lead them to new spaces.
It's an incomprehensible series, and it's hard to ask those of us who are familiar with traditional works for clear and accurate answers. That's one of the reasons I'm actively posting this article today. Nan Nan is a post-90s newcomer, a Korean-Chinese painter who is currently engaged in artistic creation activities on the international stage. After receiving primary and secondary education in Shenzhen, one of The First Special Economic Zones after China's reform and opening up, she studied art at the Center for Contemporary Art at the University of Visual Arts in New York and studied abroad.
After graduating in 2016, she began her artistic career in New York and exhibited several works in the exhibition. In some ways, envying the good fortune of this generation of descendants, who were able to touch the world in the course of 40 years of reform. But on the other hand, how many different cultures and troubles have been overcome overseas? They are good at overcoming challenges that allow us to close the gap. In the 21st century era of "peace and development", the outstanding new generation of talents of our nation has brought us into a transcendent cultural era. Nannan's series of oil paintings can understand the educational culture received and the ideas of the new generation of the post-90s generation. The clear and transparent color plane that women perceive and express forms the backbone of the entire screen.
Nannan · Hidden shape #Doors' 2016
Intermittent hazy sensations and colored surfaces are full of passionate vitality and capture the entire screen flu. Not through a detailed depiction of objects such as natural persons, but by paintings of bright colors in harmony with tonality and by decorative compositions that open the screen. It is a very original and pure expression of inspiration. Art is the visual art. The visual arts show creativity, that is, the expressive power that transcends the original nature of words. It was thought that visual art could get lost when it came to perceiving art with traditional concepts.
Nannan · Memories in Feelings #1' 2015
The works of the "Memories in Feelings" series express the subjective story of ideological distress with emotional colors. These bright and soft light shadows are the main elements of the painting language of this series. Irregular diagonal lines are accentuated by color and boundaries, showing the tension of the screen. On the decorative screen, as long as it is expressed in three dimensions, one or two small objects that can be recognized can be observed.

Through this observed object, bright and vivid colored surfaces draw our gaze back to the imaginary walls and the ground that supports them. These waves connect to the secondary space of the imagination, and from then on, new spaces with multiple layers of color are discovered. It makes the user feel that the green on the screen is approaching the ground. Reminds you of the color of the potential image.
Nannan · Feeling Memories #3' 2015
Such screen collisions expand time and space, and I think this may be the process of Nannan constantly trying to find space. In the process, the artist is constantly seeking to renew her own position. All in all, Nannan and many backs have high hopes ...
