This year's Parent-Child Reading Day created a Weibo Topic Contest for the first time, in which participants took the topic #Parent-Child Reading Day or #My Library Memory# on Weibo, and shared their stories with the library, punching in the city positioning, so as to light up their own city and support parent-child reading. The cities targeted by the top three users of the competition will receive 1228 reading bud bags donated by the Shenzhen Aiyue Charity Foundation for children aged 0-6, and finally the three cities of Xi'an, Foshan and Shaoyang will be champions.

In addition, this year's Parent-Child Reading Day also planned a special event , Love Reading Library Magic Night. The scene through the picture book story "Library Wonderful Night" let the children experience the fun of the library, and the "Little Librarian" link let the children sort out the books on the shelves by themselves, and experienced the responsibility and fun of being a librarian.
At the end of the event, all families read aloud the seven co-reading initiatives of the Parent-Child Reading Day: sharing books with children from birth; having a fixed parent-child reading time every day; creating a reading corner for children; putting books in places where children are at their fingertips; often taking children to libraries or bookstores; giving books as gifts to children; and recording and reading growth books for children.
