The Forbidden City celebrates the New Year
Look for the New Year's scene in the palace in a series of poetic and calligraphy paintings such as "Ice Play Map", "Year Dynasty Map", "Yongzheng December Xingle Map" and so on. With the interactive experience of palace lights, it presents the lively scene of "a moment of gold is really there, and the spring night is to appreciate the lights" for the New Year's day.
Recently, the New Year Greeting - "Reading the Forbidden City" Cultural and Creative Exhibition was officially opened. This is the first time that the "Reading the Forbidden City" cultural and creative exhibition has come to Shenzhen, with the New Year in the palace as the theme content of the exhibition, and interpreted in various forms of expression such as space aesthetics, cultural creativity and multimedia. The exhibition is divided into five parts, the themes are "Where to give birth to spring early", "beautiful and auspicious year", "spring night to enjoy the lights", "poetry and painting festival", "tea feast warm fangting".
"Reading the Forbidden City" is based on the Palace Publishing House's many years of publishing experience in books and the forbidden city content resources, with the cultural and creative exhibition as the core, around the exhibition content, combined with cultural courses, publicity and education, the palace museum book cultural and creative development and sales to form a cultural comprehensive consumption scene, while integrating local characteristics and superior resources to jointly develop the cultural industry, based on becoming a development platform for the cultural industry. "Reading the Forbidden City" has been successfully held in Beijing, Tianjin, Sanya and other places with different themes.
In the exhibition, the audience will not only see the paintings painted by the court painter Xu Yang according to the twenty poems of the Qianlong Emperor singing and looking forward to spring, but also the "Spring Poetic Intentions of Jingshi Sheng", which shows the New Year scene inside and outside the Forbidden City. In the exhibition, you can also feel the profound Spring League, the mighty general Jinjia Gate God, the rich Tianguan Blessing Gate God, the Xiangu Gate God who prays for blessings in front of you, the Qing Dynasty Emperor Imperial Pen "Fu" character that prays for "Fuqing", and feel the auspicious and beautiful meaning that has become customary from ancient times to the present. The exhibition also brought the latest book published by the Forbidden City, "Greeting the New Year - Celebrating the New Year in the Forbidden City", as well as a variety of high-quality books such as the "Forbidden City Calendar" and cultural and creative products of the Forbidden City.
Liu Wenbin, deputy director of the Propaganda Department of the Shenzhen Municipal Cpc Committee of the Communist Party of China, said that this exhibition is the first exhibition of the Forbidden City New Year Theme Cultural and Creative Exhibition in Shenzhen, presenting the cultural content and traditional elements of the New Year in the Forbidden City to the general public and friends, so that the audience can feel the charm of cultural inheritance, experience the beautiful life of Guotai Min'an, and help the general public enhance their sense of cultural acquisition and happiness. In the future, it is hoped that the "Reading the Forbidden City" cultural and creative exhibition project can integrate Shenzhen characteristics in the process of carrying out cultural publicity and education and cultural activity courses, build an innovative cultural industry development platform based on the Greater Bay Area, and carry forward China's excellent traditional culture.
Song Xiaojun, editor-in-chief of the Palace Publishing House, said that this exhibition is a reinterpretation of the "New Year in the Palace" through the expression of cultural creativity after the 2019 Palace Museum's "New Year's Eve - New Year in the Forbidden City" cultural relics exhibition. The exhibition will present a tactile and "living" Forbidden City for the audience, and achieve zero-distance communication with the Audience in Shenzhen. Let more audiences know the Forbidden City, read the Forbidden City, and bring home the culture of the Forbidden City. This is also a good way for the "Reading the Forbidden City" cultural and creative exhibition to revitalize the cultural relics and art of the Forbidden City and enter the public life, which is the main purpose and significance of the exhibition. Through this "Reading the Forbidden City" cultural and creative exhibition and more cooperation in the future, we will publicize the excellent traditional Chinese culture, help Shenzhen's culture, reading, and the construction of the Shenzhen Socialist Pilot Demonstration Zone with Chinese characteristics.
