Among the Kuomintang generals, there are many generals who spoil their wives, among which the more typical one is He Yingqin, whose wife is suffering from cancer and cannot have children, he Yingqin does not abandon his wife, in addition to He Yingqin, there is another general who spoils his wife, this person is called Cheng Qian, who is a general of the Kuomintang level.

Cheng was a very old kuomintang official, he was a Hunan Liling official Zhuangren, or a xiucai in the late Qing Dynasty, in 1900, 18-year-old Cheng Qian entered changsha Yuelu Academy to study, influenced by progressive ideas he decided to throw in the pen Congrong, in 1903, with the first place in the results of the entrance examination into the Hunan Wubei Academy.
After entering the Wubei Academy, due to his excellent grades, Cheng Qian was sent to Japan to study in the second year, and going to Japan had a great influence on Cheng Qian's life trajectory, and in Japan he met Huang Xing, Song Jiaoren and other revolutionary volunteers, and these Kuomintang elders became his friends.
In 1908, Cheng Qian returned from Japan, and then went to Sichuan to participate in the training of new soldiers, in the later anti-Yuan struggle and warlord melee, Cheng Qian gradually rose, during which he experienced many blows but never fell, the chairman once commented on him, several ups and downs in the past few decades, has not been overthrown.
On January 11, 1936, Cheng Qian was promoted to the second rank general of the Kuomintang Army, Cheng Qian's military career was not bad, but his personal life was not good, he had three wives, unfortunately all died, at the age of 54 Cheng Qian was still alone.
Many friends want to introduce marriage for Cheng Qian, but at that time Cheng Qian did not look at those women, until a 17-year-old girl Guo Yiqing walked into Cheng Qian's vision, Cheng Qian and Guo Yiqing had a good relationship, although the age difference between the two was 37 years old, but there was no generation gap.
According to Guo Yiqing, she and Cheng Qian were married first, and after marriage, Cheng Qian was very good to Guo Yiqing, when the Japanese invaded, Cheng Qian was appointed commander of the First Theater and concurrently served as the chairman of Henan.
The famous Battle of Lanfeng was commanded by Cheng Qian, and the Chinese side killed more than 30,000 Japanese troops at the cost of sacrificing 100,000 soldiers, and the ratio of battle losses between the two sides was 3 to 1, which was quite good, compared with the previous battles with the Japanese army, the proportion of battle losses was generally 5 to 1.
Therefore, the Battle of Lanfeng commanded by Cheng Qian was still quite well fought, although At that time Cheng Qian often commanded the battle outside, but he did not care much about Guo Yiqing, and every time he went home, he would bring her gifts, and Cheng Qian, who was usually silent and taciturn, always treated Guo Yiqing with practical actions.
Married for many years, Cheng Qian and Guo Yiqing have always wanted a son, for this guo Yiqing has been pregnant 16 times, due to physical reasons, only 6 of their children have grown up, and they are all girls, even so Cheng Qian did not blame Guo Yiqing, for the sake of Guo Yiqing's body, resolutely no longer let Guo Yiqing get pregnant.
During the Liberation War, in 1949, Cheng Qian revolted, he served as the governor of Hunan Province and other positions in New China, died of illness in 1968 at the age of 86, Guo Yiqing died of illness until 1996, at the age of 77, after which Guo Yiqing chose to be buried with Cheng Qian.
