Red Gene inherits the Red Classic
Hello everyone, welcome to the Red Classic Sharing Column of "Inheriting Red Genes and Tasting the Classics of the Times" created by the campus radio and television station of Yingkou Vocational and Technical College. In this issue, we will introduce a famous revolutionary in modern China, reminisce about the glory days, and feel the red feelings. Relive the red classics and inherit the red gene! This time, I will share with you Li Dazhao, who gave his life heroically to the cause of the Chinese revolution.
Li Dazhao (29 October 1889 – 28 April 1927) was a Native of Leting, Hebei. In 1907, he was admitted to the Tianjin Beiyang Law and Politics College, and after graduating in 1913, he traveled east to Japan to study politics at Waseda University in Tokyo, where he was a pioneer of the Chinese communist movement, a great Marxist, an outstanding proletarian revolutionary, and one of the main founders of the Communist Party of China.

Comrade Li Dazhao's lifelong course of struggle is closely linked to the history of the spread of Marxism in China, the history of the founding of the Communist Party of China, and the history of seeking happiness for the Chinese and the people under the leadership of the Communist Party of China.
On October 27, 2019, a symposium to commemorate the 130th anniversary of the birth of Comrade Li Dazhao was held in Beijing. The meeting commemorated the 130th anniversary of Comrade Li Dazhao's birth, reviewed the historic changes that took place in the land of Shenzhou, and remembered the immortal merits of Comrade Li Dazhao and other revolutionaries of the older generation for national independence and people's liberation, national prosperity and strength, and people's happiness.
Mr. Li Dazhao spent his life searching for a good recipe for saving the corrupt government at that time, and fought all his life for this, and together with Chen Duxiu, Lu Xun and other revolutionaries and writers, he created the "New Youth" that resounded throughout the country.
On April 6, 1927, Li Dazhao was arrested at the Soviet Embassy in Dongjiaomin Lane, Beijing, and after being imprisoned, he was tortured to the death, and he remained unyielding and righteous. Before his execution on April 28, Li Dazhao was the first to walk on the gallows without fear, calmly and righteously, and died at the age of 38.
"The purpose of life is to develop one's own life, but there are also times when one must sacrifice one's life in order to develop one's life. Because of ordinary development, sometimes it is not as good as heroic sacrifice enough to prolong the sound and brilliance of life. The beautiful scenery is mostly in the treacherous mountains. The music is mostly a sad rhyme. Noble life, often in the midst of heroic sacrifice. ”
Throughout his life, Li Dazhao pursued revolutionary truth, national independence and the liberation of the people, and always put his personal life and death aside. During his lifetime, he wrote the Famous League of "Iron Shoulders Moral Righteousness, Brilliant Hands Writing Articles", and this has become a true portrayal of his revolutionary life, as he often said, noble life, often in the heroic sacrifice.
In the memorial hall, the bronze statue of Li Dazhao is solemn, and from time to time, people come to offer flowers and silently pay their respects. On the back of the stone platform below the sculpture, an inscription is inscribed: Comrade Li Dazhao was the earliest Marxist and communist in China, and was one of the main founders of the Communist Party of China. He was infinitely loyal to the cause of the liberation of the Chinese people, to his faith in Marxism and to the revolutionary future of the proletariat. His fearless dedication to the creation and development of the communist movement in our country will always be a shining example for all revolutionaries.
