Yu Zhixue, pen name Qingjin, Gancheng, was born in 1935 in Zhaodong City, Heilongjiang. He is the founder of ice and snow landscape painting, currently the director of the Fifth China Artists Association, the honorary chairman of the Heilongjiang Provincial Artists Association, the Ninth National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, the honorary president of the Heilongjiang Provincial Academy of Painting, the creative researcher of the Art Creation Institute of the China Academy of Art, the vice president of the China International Calligraphy and Painting Art Research Association, the vice chairman of the Biography Association of the American International Biography Research Institute, the researcher of the International Biography Center of the University of Cambridge, the president of the Heilongjiang Provincial Chinese Painting Society, and the honorary dean of the Beijing Pangu Art Calligraphy and Painting Institute of Harbin Institute of Technology.
