On the morning of April 1, the reporter saw at the Yingde Black Tea Standardized Processing Technology Service Headquarters - Yingjiu Manor Central Intelligent Tea Factory at the head picking festival branch venue that the verdant tea trees were lined up in rows, undulating, and the fresh and tender shoots growing at the top were verdant. Nearly 60 tea pickers lined up in an orderly manner among the tea rows, competing for "head picking". But I saw the tea pickers dancing and flying with their hands on the top of the tea tree. After a while, the tea basket is filled with tea green, and the fresh and tender tea buds shine with a seductive luster in the bright sun.
"Affected by last year's frost, this year's spring tea sprouted relatively late, but with the warmer weather, it has now entered the picking season." Li Yan, deputy general manager of Yingjiu Manor, introduced that the planting area of Yingde black tea in the manor reached more than 3,000 mu, with an annual output of about 200-300 jin per mu.
The cold wave has also led to different degrees of frost in some tea gardens in Yingde, and the spring tea production of some tea enterprises has dropped slightly, and it is expected that the price of spring tea will rise. According to the Agricultural Bureau of Yingde City, despite this, many new tea gardens have begun to be put into production this year. Spring tea production is expected to increase slightly throughout the year, reaching 2500 tons, a slight increase of 8% over last year's 2300 tons. This year, the city's tea output can reach 13,500 tons.
Yingde has a history of more than 1,200 years of tea cultivation and enjoys the reputation of the hometown of Chinese black tea.
