Yingde Black Tea has an "ID card" digital technology to empower agricultural products

Xinhua News Agency, Guangzhou, April 26 (Reporter Li Yue) opened the mobile phone to scan the "traceability two-dimensional code", the name, place of origin, inspection and other information of tea leaves were clear at a glance. In order to enhance the company's awareness of the protection of the public brand of the Yingde black tea region, in recent years, the Yingdejia e-commerce platform has promoted the Yingde black tea on the chain and released the "blockchain traceable black tea".

Located in the mountains of northern Guangdong, Yingde is known as the "hometown of black tea". With the expansion of the online sales channels of Yingde black tea, some merchants have taken advantage of the loopholes in the online sales platform to sell counterfeit and shoddy Yingde black tea products, which has damaged the brand image of Yingde black tea.

Li Jielin, founder of the Yingdejia platform, said that Yingde black tea has obtained organic certification in the European Union, the United States, Japan and South Korea, and will open up more new channels by uniting more MCN agencies or marketing platforms.

It's not just blockchain. Digital technology is also incorporated into processing processes including withering, kneading, fermentation, and drying. Behind the huge tea industry, scientific planting and management have played an important role.

Liang Zhiyu, chairman of Yingde Longrun Agricultural Development Co., Ltd., told reporters that the intelligent water and fertilizer integrated machine can adapt to the most suitable nutrients for tea plants, and can rely on a mobile phone to operate and reasonably arrange the drip irrigation rhythm; the "intelligent monitoring system" in the tea garden can better observe the growth of tea and the state of the tea field; at the same time, the tea factory is also optimizing the machine tea picking technology from "cutting" to "breaking".

By the end of 2020, the planting scale of tea gardens in Yingde City reached 162,000 mu, with 150,000 employees and a tea output value of 4.32 billion yuan.
