The last cooperation between China Philharmonic and China-Barica dates back 10 years. In March 2011, the two troupes jointly performed the classic ballet "The Girl of Alay" and "Carmen" at the Poly Theater, and the wonderful moments are still fresh in people's minds. At this year's "Music and Ballet" New Year Concert, nearly 30 dancers of China Ballet will bring famous passages from the dance drama "Onegin", "Swan Lake", "Red Detachment of Women" and "New Year", as well as the dance choreographed by Xu Gang, assistant artistic director of China Ballet and ballet master, for Shostakovich and Johann Strauss Jr. The China Philharmonic will also play excerpts from the "Girl from Alay" suite and the first suite of "Carmen", paying tribute to the cooperation and years of friendship between the two groups 10 years ago. In addition, Chinese and foreign classic works such as the movie "Shangganling" interlude "My Motherland" and stravinsky's "Firebird" excerpt will also be staged.

"Every year at the Vienna New Year's Concert, there are also ballet performances." Li Nan, director of the China Philharmonic Orchestra, introduced that the artists look forward to bringing a richer New Year's Eve experience to the audience. This concert will also continue to retain the vision of "pushing new people and pushing new works" in previous years, and young pianist Inzhi will cooperate with the orchestra for the first time to perform Chopin's "Smooth Line board and brilliant Polonez Dance". The first half of the work is elegant and the second half is warm, which is very festive.
