"The world ballet classic Onegin is a masterpiece of the brilliant wisdom of pushkin, Tchaikovsky and John Kranko, and since its introduction in 1965, it has influenced generations of dancers and choreographers around the world." Feng Ying, head of China Ballet and artistic director, introduced that in 2008, China Ballet first put this work on the Chinese stage. As a model of theatrical ballet, "Onegin" breaks the stylized expression of classical ballet, the action design and choreography are full of creativity, the dramatic conflict is strong and extreme, and it poses a double challenge to the dancers' dance skills and character portrayal ability.

For more than a decade, "Onegin" has witnessed the continuous growth of Chinese ballet dancers. In this round of rehearsals, due to the impact of the epidemic, German artists who had planned to participate in the rehearsal could not come to China, and Reed Anderson, artistic director of the Johann Kranko Foundation, conducted a directed rehearsal online. In the process, artists from both countries need to constantly overcome the time difference and language barriers, through the small screen, accurately docking every detail.
