On the morning of February 23, the press conference of the ballet group poem "Role Model" was held at the Liaoning Ballet, and the ballet group poem "Role Model" will enter the rehearsal period at the end of February 2022 and premiere nationwide on March 5, 2022. With the aesthetic beauty and touching from youth, we commemorate the 60th anniversary of Comrade Lei Feng's death and the 59th anniversary of Mao Zedong's inscription "Learn from Comrade Lei Feng".

As one of the first great spirits to be included in the spiritual genealogy of Chinese communists, the "Lei Feng Spirit" is a precious spiritual wealth that has lasted for a long time and will never fade, and is one of the most preferred materials for cultural creation in the new era. The connotation of the times of "upward" and "good" in its spirit has provided guidance and motivation for generations of Chinese. Presenting and expressing in the innovative form of dance group poems has both the beauty of flexible imagery and the reality of inheritance and development.
Different from traditional dance dramas, "Role Models" uses poetic dance vocabulary to show the theme, captures fragments of "Lei Feng's Diary" as creative materials, and establishes a text creation framework for dance poems. The whole work is divided into 5 chapters, presented in a juxtaposition structure: "a ray of light", "a grain", "a drop of water", "a brick" and "a nail". Comprehensively using classical ballet, neo-classical ballet and modern dance performance techniques, from virtual to real in artistic presentation, combined with stage art means such as stage scheduling, stage design, and video background, we deeply excavate the characteristics of dance art language itself, so as to establish the stage art logic between the main body of dance performance "youth" and the learning and inheritance of "Lei Feng spirit".

The works are written by well-known domestic screenwriters Li Ming and Dai Hu; Jiang Yang, dance director of Hunan Satellite TV's "Dance Storm" program, serves as the chief choreographer; Liu Tingting, the creator of "Jiu'er", "Waiting", "Jasmine" and other works, serves as the deputy chief choreographer; Guo Sida, an outstanding young composer, serves as the composer; Ren Dongsheng and Yang Donglin, the main creative members of "Only This Green", serve as the general designer of stage design and costume styling.

Founded in 2018, Liaoning Ballet Youth Ballet is the first professional youth ballet company in China, with an average age of only 15 years old. With the Liaoning Ballet as the background, the Liaoning Ballet Affiliated Dance School as the supporting dance school, the scientific, systematic and professional training outline as the basis, and the cultivation of outstanding young ballet artistic talents as the purpose, the company provides a platform for the future generation of Chinese ballet to exercise, display and grow in the way of "learning to perform together".
Lei Dance group poem "Role Model" is the first large-scale art work with the theme of carrying forward the spirit of Lei Feng after General Secretary Xi Jinping's "9.28" speech in Liaoning. The works are produced by the Provincial Culture Group and independently performed by the Liaoning Ballet Youth Ballet, with the theme of carrying forward the "Lei Feng Spirit" and welcoming the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China.
