A happy life is a simultaneous progress of material and spiritual life

Text: Flipping through the books in his spare time

A happy life is a simultaneous progress of material and spiritual life

For me, composing is a confession of the soul.

- Tchaikovsky, "My Musical Life"

The fundamental duty of every moment of life is to survive, and on this basis people imagine various meanings and strive to give life the good, so we call the activity of life: life.

Based on this understanding, life has a need to be higher than survival, and when people create a rich material world, they are constantly expanding the boundaries of the spiritual world. There are possible two reasons for this.

One is to embellish spiritual pursuits while material abundance is abundant; another reason is to have to do so, in other words: material cannot meet all the needs of people for life.

A happy life is a simultaneous progress of material and spiritual life

The former ascribes the spiritual life to the need to pass the time of boredom; the latter sees it as the sublimation and higher stage of the material life.

Whatever the reason, one thing is for sure: if we live two lives, our lives will be complete.

Tchaikovsky saw composition as a voice from the soul, which shows that he has found his spiritual pursuit beyond satisfying the material life. When the two work together so closely and efficiently, we can certainly consider it happiness.

Everyone is looking for such happy moments in life, and it can be said that life is a kind of creation. Its form is not fixed as one, it can be music, it can be painting, it can be architecture, it can be sculpture, it can be writing, it can be travel, it can even be a walk after a rainy day.

Whatever the content of the word "soul" is, it implies a yearning for the spiritual life, and as such, it should be regarded as inevitable.

A happy life is a simultaneous progress of material and spiritual life

For us, it is not that we are looking for our own happy life along the way, which has both material satisfaction and spiritual enjoyment needs.

Matter is tangible and attainable, but spirit varies greatly from person to person. In this sense, any interesting person is bound to seek development in his own spiritual realm.

I think that's where Tchaikovsky's words touch people's hearts.
