Shenzhen Binhai Art Center's special swan feast , the Southern Swan Season , will conclude on New Year's Day 2022: Shanghai Ballet's classic version of "Swan Lake". Composed by Tchaikovsky and co-directed by Petipa and Ivanov, the ballet Swan Lake has become an insurmountable peak of classical ballet since its introduction in 1895.
The "Swan Lake" brought by Shanghai Ballet is a "luxurious" goose version tailored for Shanghai Ballet by its world-famous ballet choreographer and former artistic director of the British National Ballet, Derek Dean, and it is also the first time this version has come to Shenzhen to perform, and the audience will enjoy the world's unique 48 swan dances in the performance, which will be a top stage that every art lover cannot miss!
Shanghai Ballet
Founded in 1979, Shanghai Ballet was formerly known as the crew of the large-scale ballet "White Haired Girl". As one of the important works to try the nationalization of ballet, "The White Haired Girl" laid the foundation for the establishment of the Shanghai Ballet, and also established the first-class position of the Shanghai Ballet in China. "The White-Haired Girl" has won the Classic Award of the Chinese Nation's Twentieth Century Dance Classics Competition and has been performed for a long time, and has been staged more than 2,000 times so far.
In the past 40 years, young actors have won 52 medals in the International Ballet Competition, achieving a breakthrough in the international ballet competition of Chinese ballet - the first medal, the first double dance award, and the first ballet "Olympic" gold medal are all from the Shanghai Ballet.
