In the snow at the "Friendship Garden" in St. Petersburg, Russian musicians play the familiar melody of "My Motherland and Me". The Friendship Garden was inaugurated in 2003 as a gift from Shanghai, a sister city of St. Petersburg. The atmospheric faience nine dragon wall and the "friendship pavilion" with Jiangnan connotations have a unique style in the snow.

The concert is one of the 8th St. Petersburg "Happy Spring Festival" series of activities co-sponsored by the St. Petersburg Municipal Government, the Chinese Consulate General in St. Petersburg and the sister city of St. Petersburg, Shanghai, and the annual "Happy Spring Festival" has become a cultural business card in St. Petersburg.
