Guangxi Normal University Press

"Three Lice" is adapted from "Han Feizi" and tells the fable story of three rat-eyed lice.

Once upon a time, a sow lived with three lice. They spend all day without worrying about food and clothing, sucking on the blood of sows, and raising themselves fat and strong. They do nothing, often pushing and shoving, and arguing. One day, a lice passed by, saw their confusion, and quickly reminded them to think of danger in peace. Because their parasitic pigs have already fattened their heads and are about to be slaughtered, and the three lice are about to lose their comfortable homes. So the three lice stopped the senseless quarrels, and the sows were bitten by them and could not sleep, running from place to place, not at peace for a moment, becoming emaciated day by day, and never meeting the requirements of slaughter. Three lice saved their homes.
