Intel said they abandoned physical displays in the spirit of Intel's security strategy after consulting with health officials, and the root cause of their cancellation of booths was that the latest U.S. outbreak had shifted to the more contagious Omilon variant, and the CDC said that 73 percent of the new infections in the U.S. in the week of December 18 were caused by Omilon.
After the cancellation of physical booths, much of Intel's activities at CES have shifted to online channels, including a press conference by Gregory Bryant, manager of the client computing division, and Amnon Shashua, founder of MobilEye.
