1. Effective February 28, 2022, Volkswagen (China) Sales Co., Ltd. will recall some of the 2015-2019 imported Beetle, Suncool, Golf, Sharon, Tourwei and Weilan series vehicles manufactured between June 1, 2015 and July 16, 2019, totaling 30,639 vehicles.

Vehicles covered by the above recall are equipped with 1.2TSI and 1.4TSI engines produced within a specified period of time, and due to manufacturing deviations in the production process, there may be insufficient tightening torque of the oil rail bolts, resulting in bolt loosening during the use of the vehicle. In extreme cases, the seal of the injector nozzle may be broken, causing fuel leakage, and the risk of fire cannot be ruled out, and there is a safety hazard.

Volkswagen (China) Sales Co., Ltd. and FAW-Volkswagen AG will commission authorized dealers to replace the engine rail bolts free of charge for vehicles covered by the recall and tighten the bolts according to the new tightening method to eliminate safety hazards.

Emergency measures: If the user notices an abnormal fuel odor during the use of the vehicle, he or she should contact the authorized dealer for inspection as soon as possible.

3. Effective December 24, 2021, FAW-Volkswagen Co., Ltd. will expand the recall of some imported Audi A6 Avant and A7 vehicles from September 25, 2020 to May 18, 2021, totaling 14 vehicles.

Due to the software cooperation problem of the engine and the transmission control unit, when the vehicle is changed from the first gear to the second gear at a lower speed, if the driver suddenly changes the driving intention to release the accelerator pedal at this time, the "engine stall protection mechanism" will be triggered during the shifting process, resulting in an increase in engine output torque, a slight increase in engine speed, and a sudden increase of 3-5km/h within 1-2 seconds, increasing the possibility of accidents and potential safety hazards.

FAW-Volkswagen Will entrust an authorized Audi dealer to upgrade the engine control unit and transmission control unit software for vehicles within the scope of the recall free of charge to eliminate safety hazards.

This recall is an expanded recall of the "FAW-Volkswagen Co., Ltd. Recalls Some Imported and Domestically Produced Audi Vehicles" recall event announced on October 19, 2021. The reason for the expansion of the recall is that through further product investigation, it was found that the vehicles covered by this recall have the same safety hazards.
