A few days ago, Mercedes-Benz (China) Automobile Sales Co., Ltd. filed a recall plan with the State Administration for Market Regulation in accordance with the requirements of the Regulations on the Administration of Recall of Defective Automobile Products and the Implementation Measures of the Regulations on the Recall of Defective Automobile Products. As of April 12, 2024, the following vehicles are being recalled.

1. A total of 2,790 imported E-Class, CLS and GT vehicles with production dates between November 24, 2021 and March 10, 2023 will be recalled.

Mercedes-Benz (China) Automobile Sales Co., Ltd. will inspect and tighten the grounding wire fixing bolts for the vehicles within the scope of the recall free of charge, and replace them if the relevant parts are damaged to eliminate potential safety hazards.

2. A total of 79 imported GLE SUV vehicles with production dates between May 3, 2023 and May 10, 2023 are being recalled.

The accelerator pedal module bracket of some vehicles within the scope of this recall is not firmly welded to the body, and after long-term use, the accelerator pedal module may be separated from the body, resulting in the normal use of the accelerator pedal. In extreme cases, the accelerator pedal may be stuck between the body and the brake pedal, affecting the use of the brake pedal and posing a potential safety hazard.

Mercedes-Benz (China) Automobile Sales Co., Ltd. will replace the affected solder joints of the accelerator pedal module brackets of the vehicles covered by the recall with rivets to eliminate potential safety hazards.

3. Recall of 1 imported G-class vehicle with a production date of April 5, 2023.

Vehicles covered by this recall may not have been filled with the specified air-conditioning refrigerant, and there is a risk of fire if the vehicle collides and causes refrigerant leakage.

Mercedes-Benz (China) Automobile Sales Co., Ltd. will replace the air conditioning refrigerant for the vehicles covered by the recall free of charge to eliminate potential safety hazards.

4. A total of 89,674 imported GLE SUVs and GLS SUVs with production dates between July 5, 2018 and January 7, 2023 will be recalled.

The grounding bolts of the battery grounding wires installed under the passenger seat in some vehicles covered by this recall may not be properly tightened, resulting in an increase in resistance at the grounding point, which may cause the temperature to rise and pose a risk of fire if a large current is passed.

Mercedes-Benz (China) Automobile Sales Co., Ltd. will inspect and tighten the grounding wire fixing bolts for the vehicles within the scope of the recall free of charge, and replace them if the relevant parts are damaged to eliminate potential safety hazards.
