Zhao Hui, a native of Liaocheng, Shandong, doctor of literature. He is currently the vice dean of the School of Fine Arts and Design of Shenzhen University, and the tutor of master's degree in calligraphy. He is a member of the Chinese Calligraphers Association and the China Literary and Art Critics Association, mainly engaged in calligraphy creation and historical research.
Mr. Zhao Hui studied calligraphy since childhood, and at the beginning of his studies, he followed his father's good friend Xun Shu, a middle school history teacher who also taught calligraphy courses, and was famous for his good handwriting in the Countryside of Shili.
Zhao Hui's study of calligraphy began with the traditional depiction of red, Yan Zhenqing's "Yan Qinli Monument" and "Yan Family Temple Monument" were his first priorities outside of class, and the six years of primary school rushed by accompanied by calligraphy. In junior high school, as soon as he had time, he began to practice calligraphy, and in addition to learning the calligraphy of Ouyang Zhenqing, Yan Zhenqing, and Liu Gongquan, he also began to occasionally wade into lishu, such as "Cao Quan Stele" and "Ceremonial Instrument Stele". Later, in order to be admitted to the famous calligraphy school Linqing No. 2 Senior High School, Uncle Xun recommended him to meet Mr. Gao Xiaoyun, the calligraphy teacher of the Second Middle School. According to the characteristics of his calligraphy, Teacher Gao changed to Chu Suiliang's "Sacred Order of the Wild Goose Pagoda", and asked Mr. Zhao Hui to write twenty sheets a day, and at the same time, he also had to study the Lishu "Cao Quan Stele" and "Ceremonial Instrument Stele" in depth, and also needed twenty sheets per day, and required to meet him after a month. For the next 30 days, Zhao Hui wrote nearly 400 words of Zhongkai and Lishu every day on four feet and three open pages, and even stayed up all night. A month later, I met Teacher Gao again, and the teacher laughed and said that it was "not satisfactory." After successfully entering high school, I chatted with the senior teacher once and realized the "purpose" of the pressure he exerted at that time: learning calligraphy on the basis of mastering the correct writing method, only by relying on the accumulation of quantity can there be a qualitative leap, and the so-called "pen into a tomb" and "ink into a pool" of the ancients is also the same reason. Under the guidance of Gao Shi and others, Zhao Hui was involved in calligraphy and seal engraving during his high school years. During this period, he was recommended by Master Menggao to study at the China Academy of Art for two years, until he was admitted to jinan university in 2008, a century-old overseas Chinese school, and opened a new journey on the road of art!
Dr. Zhao Hui is a part-time worker in calligraphy and painting, calligraphy, and has studied with Cao Baolin, Fang Chuqiao, Chen Zhiping, Jiang Shuzhuo, Liu Shaojin, Li Fengliang, Yan Yuezhen and other teachers, taking the essence of the family, and is a good scholar. The font is pleasant and beautiful, the cloth is white and calm, the penmanship is graceful and flowing, and the wind and bone are contained, the washing is rigorous without losing the natural simplicity, and the overall flow is full of leisure and elegance, which makes people see the legacy of Wei Jin's style. Painting, with the pen seiko, beautiful color, line washing, the picture has both a dashing and elegant atmosphere, but also no lack of ancient style, everywhere highlights the quiet and elegant high-level artistic conception, the painting of flowers and birds, people, or landscapes are interesting and natural, ancient, quite powerful. At the same time, Dr. Zhao Hui emphasizes the integration of calligraphy and painting methods, and uses books to paint and draw into books, so his calligraphy, yu xiu elegant and interesting in the square work, has a vivid meaning; His paintings, ink colors and blank spaces are all seen in the strict law, full of ancient meaning; Thus achieving the harmonious unity of his calligraphy style and painting, it is very rare to see his calligraphy and paintings as seen in the ancients, and there is a new meaning.
