However, according to the agreement between the two parties, Nikolai will first provide the vehicle to Total Transport Services for pilot operation, and if the demand is met, the contract will be formally established.

In September, Iveco and Nikola announced the signing of a memorandum of understanding with the Hamburg Port Authority AR (HPA) involving the sale of 25 Nikola Tre electric trucks. It is understood that Iveco is nikolai's current largest shareholder, and the two have a joint venture plant in Germany that will produce pure electric and hydrogen fuel cell versions of Nikolai trucks for Europe. The trucks delivered this time also came from the plant. Nikolai's plant in Arizona, USA, is still under construction and is expected to start operations in 2022, with an initial planned production capacity of 2,400 units per year.
