This is an important milestone for Nikola, which marks its final entry into the production and sales phase of all-electric trucks, and also lays a good foundation for the launch of hydrogen fuel cell trucks in 2023 It is reported that Total Transport Services proposed to Nikola to order 100 electric trucks, including 30 pure electric trucks and 70 hydrogen fuel cell trucks. However, according to the agreement between the two parties, Nikolai will first provide the vehicle to Total Transport Services for pilot operation, and if the demand is met, the contract will be formally established.

In September, Iveco and Nikola announced the signing of a memorandum of understanding with the Hamburg Port Authority AR (HPA) involving the sale of 25 Nikola Tre electric trucks. It is understood that Iveco is nikolai's current largest shareholder, and the two have a joint venture plant in Germany that will produce pure electric and hydrogen fuel cell versions of Nikolai trucks for Europe. The trucks delivered this time also came from the plant. Nikolai's plant in Arizona, USA, is still under construction and is expected to start operations in 2022, with an initial planned production capacity of 2,400 units per year.
