On April 28, 1927, Li Dazhao was killed by a reactionary warlord, but for various reasons, Li Dazhao's body has not been buried.
Until the spring of 1933, Li Dazhao's wife, Zhao Shulan, knew that her body could not last for a few days, so she ran from many places to request that her husband Li Dazhao be buried.
After the underground organization of our party asked the central authorities, it was decided to bury Li Dazhao together with Peking University.
On this day, a special figure came to see Zhao Shulan, named Li Shiyu, briefed Zhao Shulan on the arrangements for organizing the burial of Li Dazhao, and told her that this day was of great significance, and that he wanted to accuse the Kuomintang reactionaries and reactionary warlords of the evil deeds of killing the patriotic masses, and set off a huge movement to comfort the revolutionary pioneer Li Dazhao.
After listening, Zhao Shulan said that she fully agreed with the organization's arrangement.
In the process of sending the funeral, Li Shiyu has always undertaken the task of protecting the spirits, breaking through many obstacles, organizing the revolutionary masses to send Li Dazhao's coffin to the Wan'an Cemetery, and comforting this great pioneer of our party.
So, who is this Li Shiyu? What kind of legendary experience?
Born in Bayan, Heilongjiang in 1908, Li Shiyu was admitted to the National University of Law and Political Science in Beijing and joined the Communist Party of China, often organizing student patriotic movements.
Because of his excellent organizational skills, he attracted the attention of his superiors and was repeatedly entrusted with important tasks, such as this activity to bury Li Dazhao.
After graduating from Beijing Fasei University, Li Shiyu was sent to Xi'an by the organization, infiltrated the Xi'an "Suppression General", served as the director of the guard room of Zhang Xueliang's mansion, and participated in the whole process of the Xi'an Incident, and many valuable information and intelligence were sent out by him.
Moreover, many people in the Northeast Army and the Northwest Army already had patriotic backgrounds, and Li Shiyu made full use of his position to extensively contact patriotic personages and do a great deal of propaganda work, thus making tremendous contributions to the formation of our party's anti-Japanese united front.
In 1939, Wang Jingwei openly defected to the enemy and established the Wang puppet National Government with the support of the Japanese, and the first major event was to prepare for the so-called "Sixth Congress" of the Kuomintang.
However, Wang Jingwei was already a notorious traitor, and not many people in the Kuomintang were willing to attend this congress, so as long as it was the Kuomintang, no matter what it was, as long as it was willing to come, he would give it to a high-ranking official!
Against this background, the central authorities decided to make a plan and send Li Shiyu to take this opportunity to break into the Wang pseudo-circle. Therefore, under the arrangement of the organization, Li Shiyu forged the identity of the Kuomintang deputy and successfully participated in the "Six Congresses" of Wang Fei.
At this meeting, Li Shiyu made a "wonderful" speech, holding Wang Jingwei up to the sky, and Wang Jingwei naturally blossomed in his heart, and as soon as the congress ended, he appointed Li Shiyu as a legislator and a member of the legislative affairs committee.
At that time, the president of the pseudo-"Legislative Yuan" was the famous Chen Gongbo, and Li Shiyu was originally from the political science and law profession, and was personally arranged by Wang Jingwei, coupled with his extraordinary communication ability, he soon won Chen Gongbo's trust. Later, Chen Gongbo went to Shanghai as mayor, and he was taken away and appointed as the head of the secretariat of the Shanghai Security Command.
Later, the Wang puppet troops launched a large-scale attack on our New Fourth Army and repeatedly launched "clearance operations," but every attack was beaten by the New Fourth Army, and Wang Jingwei was furious, believing that there must be a treacherous spy inside, but after half a day of investigation, there was no news found, and this matter was not resolved.
Many years later, Li Shiyu returned to the people's army, and Liu Shaoqi personally received him and said to him:
"You were with Wang Jingwei and made great contributions to the development of the New Fourth Army, and he and Chen Gongbo did not know until their deaths that you were a member of the Communist Party."
When the two finished speaking, they laughed.
After the end of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, At the behest of Chiang Kai-shek, Dai Kasa began to woo important figures of the Wang pseudo-clique everywhere, of which Li Shiyu was an important target of Dai Kasa.
Dai Kasa personally found Li Shiyu and interviewed the relevant matters, Li Shiyu asked the organization, and the organization decided to plan again and send Li Shiyu into the military command and continue to lurk.
At that time, Chiang Kai-shek was entrusting the military command with the task of receiving the cities left behind by the Japanese and the puppets, but many cities were taken over in advance by our party and our army, and the hero of this was naturally Li Shiyu.
At first, Dai Kasa also suspected Li Shiyu and sent someone to secretly investigate, but Li Shiyu was very experienced in the struggle, and he was also well aware of the Kuomintang's style of doing things, so he took out a lot of money and did the work of the people who came to investigate, and came to a plan, but the result was that Dai Ka trusted him more and never investigated him again.
However, not long after, Dai Kasa was killed in a plane crash and lost this "protective umbrella", and Li Shiyu was once again investigated by the military command.
Li Shiyu was not so lucky this time, and finally was caught by the military commander and sentenced to 7 years and 6 months for the crime of "traitor".
Of course, Li Shiyu did not sit in prison for so long, and by early 1949, Li Zongren released a large number of "prisoners" in order to negotiate peace with the Communist Party, and Li Shiyu was also released from prison, restored his true identity, and was arranged to work in the Central Social Department.
Interestingly, in his later years, Li Shiyu also served as vice president of the Buddhist College of China.
On December 28, 1999, Li Shiyu died of illness in Beijing at the age of 91.
