[Concubines of the Past Dynasties] armor confronted Shu Li and said that Empress Xu could write and fight

Empress Zhu Di of the Ming Dynasty, who was brave and strategic, capable of writing and martial arts, wore armor to meet the battle when she attacked the city, and wrote books and said in her prosperous life. After her death, the emperor was incessantly remembered and never stood up for life.

Xu Shi is the eldest daughter of Xu Da, the founding hero of the Ming Dynasty, she has been quiet since childhood, likes to read, known as "female Confucian sheng", and is known as a virtuous and talented woman. After hearing this, Ming Taizu Zhu Yuanzhang summoned Xu Da and personally proposed to his fourth son, Zhu Di.

In 1376, the fifteen-year-old Xu Shi wore a crown of nine phoenixes and four phoenixes, dressed in a green nine-zhai robe, and after the grand royal ceremony, he officially became the concubine of Zhu Di, the king of Yan, and was crowned as the princess of Yan. At that time, Zhu Di was seventeen years old, proficient in Confucian classics and martial arts, and also a talent. The talented Xu clan is considerate and respectful, and in a large group of daughters-in-law, she is deeply loved by Ming Taizu and Empress Ma, and is in love with Empress Ma.

Xu is a firm believer in Buddhism. According to her, when Taizu died, she was still Princess Yan at the time, and on the first day of the first month of 1399, she was burning incense and reading the scriptures, when suddenly purple qi and golden light filled the surroundings, like a dream. Then, guanyin bodhisattva appeared in the light, leading her to a special holy place, and the bodhisattva told her: "Great tribulations are about to occur in the kingdom", and gave her the "Rulai Often Said First Xi has Great Merit Sutra", saying that it can eliminate all disasters and bring out living beings. Guanyin Bodhisattva also prophesied to Xu that soon she would be "the mother of the world."

Out of the illusion, Princess Yan wrote down the scriptures taught by the bodhisattva through memory, and from then on she continued to recite them day and night. In 1402, the "Battle of Jingnan" ended, Zhu Di was proclaimed emperor in Nanjing, Xu Shi was in the middle palace, and indeed became an empress, "for the mother of the world", the bodhisattva's prophecy was verified. When Zhu Di ascended the throne as emperor, Empress Xu was 40 years old, and when Zhu Di was too busy with political affairs to forget to eat, Empress Xu did not eat. The two slept and ate together, and they were inseparable almost every day.

Empress Xu believed that the beautiful virtues of the virtuous women and virgins in ancient times were formed through education. In 1404, in order to educate women in the palace, she combined the previous works on women's education, "Women's Analects" and "Female Rings", collected the teachings of ancient sages on women's morality, and the relevant remarks of Empress Xiaocigao, and compiled them into "Internal Training", promulgated the world, and promoted women's education.

Empress Xu, who had been reciting the classics since she was a child, always followed the teachings of the sages and carefully did what a woman should do. After entering the palace, she regarded Empress Ma's appearance and demeanor as a model, with good manners and emotions. Serving Zhu Di for more than thirty years, she was filial to the people, courteous and benevolent, and made the internal affairs solemn and orderly, and at the same time she advised Zhu Di to govern the country.
