The Japanese hot pot buffet "Ichisho Shoukiyaki" was exposed to various food safety problems in September this year. According to the administrative penalty information recently released by the Shanghai Municipal Bureau of Market Supervision, the Yangpu District Market Supervision Bureau made an administrative penalty decision against Shanghai Fengzhixu Restaurant Management Co., Ltd. (the operating entity of "Yixu Shouxiyao") on December 3 this year, fining it 500,000 yuan.

In September this year, online media exposed the food quality and safety problems of "Ichisui Sukiyaki" stores in Suzhou and other places, involving the use of cheap beef to pass off Australian wagyu beef, duck liver to pass off foie gras, flounder to pass off as cod, recycling food returned or leftovers from customers and selling it again, using expired raw materials, and staff using public spoons to eat food ingredients provided to customers.

Data from the National Enterprise Credit Information Publicity System and the Tianyancha Platform show that the Shanghai headquarters of "Yixu Shou Xiyao" is located in Xiangyin Road, Yangpu District, shanghai Fengzhixu Catering Management Co., Ltd., established on January 15, 2019, with a registered capital of 2 million yuan, and its business scope involves catering enterprise management, catering services, kitchen equipment sales, technical advice and technology transfer in the field of food technology. On September 13 this year, law enforcement officers from the Yangpu District Market Supervision and Administration Bureau in Shanghai inspected the Hopson Hui store of "Yixu Shoukiyaki" and found that a dish made from Greenland flounder (medaka flounder) was declared "Japanese grilled cod" on the menu.

It was found that from May 1, 2020 to September 14, 2021, the parties used Greenland flounder (Yong Flounder) as a food ingredient at the "Ichiso Sukiyaki" store in the Shanghai area to make the "Japanese Grilled Cod" dish on the store menu. Greenland flounder and cod belong to 2 different "orders" and there is no direct relationship between the two. On September 14, 2021, the parties stopped using the menu containing the dish "Japanese Grilled Cod", rectified the menu, and changed the name of the "Japanese Grilled Cod" dish to "Japanese Grilled Porcupine", and the parties have corrected the illegal acts.

Dishes made with Greenland flounder (mediocre flounder) claim to be "Grilled Cod" in violation of the Unfair Competition Act. On December 3, the Shanghai Yangpu District Market Supervision and Administration Bureau ordered Shanghai Fengzhixu Catering Management Co., Ltd. to stop its illegal acts and imposed a fine of 500,000 yuan.
