He was imprisoned and tortured
In 1934, Shi Yafu, who presided over the CCP's underground organization, was betrayed by traitors and imprisoned by the Kuomintang. In prison, the Kuomintang agent first punched and kicked him and asked him about the list and address of the Communists, and Shiyaf rolled on the ground in pain and did not say a word.
Seeing that the Kuomintang agents could not ask anything, they dragged his shirt, hung him up with chains, and whipped him with a leather whip, and the whip was thrown out one by one, leaving a trail of blood on Shi Yaf's arms and chest, "Who are you Communists?" Speak quickly!" The agent drew his whip while questioning Shiyaf.
In this way, Shiyaf spent day after day in torture, a hellish life that could defeat anyone's will, but Shiyaf survived. And constantly tried to break the jail, but never succeeded.
It was not until 1937, when the Japanese army openly announced its invasion of China, that Japanese bombers bombed Nanjing, which happened to blow up the prison wall where Shiyaf was imprisoned. The Nationalist troops guarding the prison fled in all directions, unable to take care of the prisoners in the prison, and Shiyaf took the opportunity to escape from the prison.
In the process of escaping from prison, Shi Yafu saved a person named Duan Yinbao, who although he later became a traitor, he played a very important role in introducing Shi Yafu into the puppet army.
After returning to his hometown of Nantong, Shi Yafu got in touch with the underground organization in time, and the organization hoped that he could pull up a revolutionary team, and Shi Yafu, relying on his good popularity in his hometown before, gathered all the old and young people in the town as soon as he returned home and began to discuss the revolutionary righteousness, and soon organized a team of two or three hundred people.
Schyaf gave the team three names: the Yazi Unit, the Workers' Defenders, and the Independent Regiment. Shi Yafu killed the gentry and traitors in the local area to eliminate harm for the people, and won the great support of the local people.
No one was unimpressed when it came to Schyaf and his three teams, and the enemy was confused by this three-numbered team. Because of the strength of these three teams, the oppression of the people in the townships and towns has gradually disappeared.
Fighting wits and courage, mixed into the puppet army to become a lieutenant general
Of all of Shi Yaf's revolutionary experiences, the most enjoyable thing is the story of him pulling the mass of two or three hundred people, mixing into Wang Jingwei's troops and obtaining a division number.
In 1940, Wang Jingwei established a pseudo-revolutionary government, and not long after, an uninvited guest came to Shi Yafu's house and wanted to win Shi Yafu to join Wang Jingwei's troops in Japan. This uninvited guest is not Wang Jingwei's lobbyist, it is Duan Yinbao, whom we mentioned earlier, and he also came here with good intentions, hoping to repay Shi Yafu's life-saving grace. Schyaf's words made the scene slightly awkward.
Duan Yinbao's father was a classmate of the current Japanese brigade commander in Nantong when he was studying in Japan, and through this relationship, he became the director of the Nantong Office of Appeasement, which is colloquially known as a "traitor". Because Shi Yafu saved his life on the way from prison, Duan Yinbao has always been thinking about it, and this time he came to enjoy the glory and wealth with Shi Yafu to repay the grace of saving his life.
In order to ease the awkward atmosphere, Shi Yafu eased up and said, "Brother, just now I have a little bit of a temper, so let's do it, after all, the matter is very important, you allow me to think about it for three days, and I will definitely give you an answer after three days." Duan Yinbao saw that his attitude was somewhat relaxed, felt that this matter was promising, and left happily.
It turned out that Shi Yaf had long had the idea of infiltrating the enemy's interior, but he had never had the opportunity, and now that he had the opportunity, he naturally had to think carefully. Shi Yafu specially found Su Yu, commander of the New Fourth Army Division, and explained the situation, and General Su Yu immediately agreed with Shi Yaf's idea, saying that being able to infiltrate the enemy would be of great help to our army's operations.
Three days later, Shi Yafu approached Duan Yinbao and said that he could join Wang Jingwei's troops by defecting to the Japanese army, but since he had come with soldiers, he had to have a division.
Duan Yinbao immediately reported the news to Wang Jingwei, and although Wang Jingwei was overjoyed, he was still a little worried, so he sent his confidant Yan Diannan to investigate the truth.
"General Shi, how many troops do you have?" Yan Diannan asked directly after seeing Shi Yafu.
"At least eight thousand!" Schyaf said affirmatively.

Shi Yafu took the opportunity to say: "Commander Yan, the New Fourth Army is besieging the city, and we can just go to the battlefield to witness the strength of our army." As he spoke, he was going to drag Yan Diannan to the door, and when Yan Diannan heard that he was going to the battlefield, he hurriedly resigned, saying that he did not need to look at the soldiers, just look at the military roster and gun numbers.
While leading Yan Diannan to eat, drink and gamble, Shi Yafu arranged for people to quickly find a copy of "Hundred Family Names", and chaotically compiled thousands of names, and then randomly compiled a bunch of numbers, which was the names and guns of these more than eight thousand soldiers.
Under Shi Yafu's meticulous reception, Yan Diannan ate, drank, gambled and had a very good time every day, and after seeing the military roster and gun numbers, he only casually glanced at it a few times and stopped asking questions.
As soon as Yan Diannan returned, he reported the incident to Wang Jingwei, who was very happy and sent Shi Yafu the uniform and badge of the division commander the next day. From then on, Shi Yafu justifiably became the commander of Wang Jingwei's Seventh Division.
Because of Shi Yafu's resourcefulness and flexibility, he quickly became acquainted with Wang Jingwei's son, which won Wang Jingwei's trust, and at a cocktail party, Wang Jingwei personally raised a glass to Shi Yafu and said: "Toast to our newly promoted young general!" Everyone thought that this man was Wang Jingwei's close confidant and trusted him even more.
Since then, Schyaf has been present at various important meetings. Shiyaf took advantage of his position to provide a lot of intelligence for the New Fourth Army and avoided many heavy losses for our party.
Namkan Meeting, Cigarette Note Save Command Regiment
In November 1942, Schyaf suddenly attended an emergency meeting to prepare for the ambush of the commanders of the New Fourth Army. It turned out that the Japanese side had already obtained intelligence, and it was clear about the content of the Nankan meeting, the specific participants and the return path of the personnel. Schyaf was very surprised, but in order to find out the truth, he deliberately said:
"The New Fourth Army is cunning and cunning, in case the intelligence is wrong, we are busy in vain, but it is small, and if we are ambushed by the New Fourth Army, we will be in big trouble."
Sure enough, the Japanese jointer immediately defended: "How is it possible?" This was sent by intelligence personnel who penetrated deep into the New Fourth Army, and there would be no mistake. As soon as Shi Yafu heard that the big thing was not good, there must be a traitor inside, and he immediately passed on the information to Su Yu through his subordinates:
"The Japanese army knew the content of the Nankan conference and the route of the participants to return, and wanted to kill them on the way!" Our army has treacherous spies, please check quickly! ”
Su Yu then received two boxes of cigarettes from "puppet lieutenant general" Shi Yafu and notes from cigarette boxes. After learning of the intelligence, Su Yu quickly gathered his troops and arranged for men and horses to quickly catch up with the commanders of the various military regions that had left.
Fortunately, not long after they left, the soldiers of the New Fourth Army quickly caught up with them on horseback and informed the information, and the commanders in various places either changed the route of return or stopped returning, and none of them fell into the enemy ambush. But only Guan Wenwei, the director of the Su Central Bank Bureau, was almost ambushed.
It is said that Guan Wenwei needed to cross a lake on the way back, and it happened that the lake was foggy that day, and because he could not see the lake clearly, Guan Wenwei walked around the lake for three days, and the warriors who looked for him also followed him for three days.
When the fog faded, the soldiers of the New Fourth Army issued a secret signal to Guan Wenwei, which enabled Guan Wenwei to avoid a disaster. According to Guan Wenwei's later recollection, their ship was less than 30 miles away from the Japanese ambush circle, and every time he thought about it, he felt afraid.
"After the Nankan meeting, I saw the information on the note, and I was quite surprised! How did the Japanese army know so quickly after our meeting? It's impossible! Oh, it turned out that there was a spy in the military. Admiral Su Yu said in his recollection that they later found out that the spies were hiding among the intelligence agents who sent the intelligence, and immediately killed them when they found them.
Of course, the enemy's plan failed, and he also suspected that there was an undercover in the army and began to investigate thoroughly. Later, it was found on the head of Shiyaf, who, with the permission of the organization, began an uprising anyway.
Encouraged by him, more than 2,000 people in the puppet army revolted one after another. Later, the matter was published in the European Daily, which mistakenly thought that this was a sign that the fascist camp had begun to disintegrate from within, and they did not know that this was actually an organized and planned event of our New Fourth Army.

In 1949, Shi Yafu participated in the Liberation War as the chief of staff of the People's Liberation Army, and after the founding of New China, he served as the deputy captain of the Nanjing Public Security Corps and then as the deputy director of the Jiangsu Construction Committee.
