On October 25, at the Sanshui Forest Park Circuit in Guangdong Province, the HPM300, a domestically produced race car led by Moto-Tron, and its prototype were tested on the track.

Moto-Tron is a domestic high-performance modified parts brand, and it is also an oem foundry of many vehicle manufacturers. In addition, Moto-Tron is also a partner of the veteran Gresini Racing Team in the World Championship for many years, previously at the Moto2 level, and in the 2022 season, the two sides will join hands to compete for the MotoGP level.

The prototype of the HPM series, the HPM249/HPM250, first appeared in 2012, and the basic power unit is a 250 cc engine from a Chongqing company, but with extensive modifications inside, and a self-developed wide-faced bi-wing girder frame. By 2014, the new feel XGJ250-21 car based on the HPM249/HPM250 had made its debut in the 250 cc Manufacturers Cup at the national level and won a number of awards.

The new HPM300 is the third generation of the HPM series of racing cars. There are relatively few changes between the first and second generation models, and the HPM300, which belongs to the third generation, has a big upgrade that can be called "earth-shaking".

The new HPM300 race car, some of the feature highlights are as follows:

1. The engine from the export version of Chunfeng (Zhejiang Chunfeng Power Co., Ltd.) 300 NK/300 SR was replaced as the basic power unit;

Note: Chunfeng 300 version engines in standard condition have a bore, stroke of 78 mm x 61.2 mm (250 version of the bore, stroke of 72 mm x 61.2 mm), an exhaust volume of 292.4 cc (249 cc of the 250 version), and a maximum power output of 21.4 kw/8,750 rpm (approx. 29 hp). European 300 SR). The same engine travel, but with a larger bore, means that the machine will have better high-speed performance.

2. The frame and swingarm have been improved;

3. Replaced with a fully adjustable inverted fork from FastAce FastAce (the first and second generations both use upright forks);

4. The front braking system is replaced from the previous large diameter single disc to a small diameter double disc. The new design is intended to improve the stability of the brakes and reduce the eddy current effects of the large single disc front braking system when steering at high speeds. This configuration has always been the practice of racing cars seen in the official race of Moto3 and even the past GP125, but the disadvantage is that the cost is too high. Therefore, the commercially available version of the GP125 (such as RS125, TZ125) or Moto3 (such as NSF250R, RC250R/RC4) racing cars, in the standard state, are designed with the former large single disc;

5, the use of giant loose water tank;

6. RC Super 2 EFI system ECU equipped with aRacer Iris;

7. RK 415 competitive chain of the same level as the Moto3 racing car;

8. New shape fairing, AiM's multi-functional racing instrument panel, etc.

In 2014-2016, HPM 250/XGJ250-21 racing cars were supplied domestically, and according to different configurations, the market price at that time reached the level of 50,000 yuan.

The new HPM300 is still in the prototype testing stage, after inquiry, due to a large number of metal components are CNC machining process, the price of the new car may reach the level of 60,000 to 70,000 yuan. After some configurations and production processes make adaptive adjustments for mass production, the price of the mass production version may be reduced to a certain extent.

The HPM Series race cars are a participant in the championship race and are designed for speed. At the 2016 CMBC China Track Motove Championships, Zhuang Anyu, who won the championship in Beijing (July 2016, second stop Jingang), used the second generation of hpm250/New Feeling XGJ250 - 21 cars to run the best lap of the game in the first quarter of the race with 1 minute 13.214 seconds. Under the modification rules at that time, the best lap time in the Goldenport race was 1 minute and 15 seconds for a 250 cc class imported car (a car modified from a production model) with a two-cylinder engine.

With a larger exhaust capacity, greater peak power output, and a further improved configuration, the HPM300 will be able to create a more competitive performance, I believe it will be revealed soon.
