The development of new energy vehicles has gradually penetrated into the pickup truck market, especially in the field of fuel vehicles, American brands that have "learned to have more than enough power" have launched electric pickup trucks.
Tesla is one of the earliest, and the launch of Cyberruck 3 years ago can be described as a sensation in the entire industry, because its shape is now imaginative and seems unlikely to appear on the mass production version.
Prototype car
Some time ago, Cybertruck even canceled the booking channel on the official website, just when everyone felt that this car was far away from us, Tesla officially unveiled the mass production version of Cyberruck at the recent press conference, and said that it would be officially put into production next year.
See the new car in one minute:
1. The appearance is highly similar to the prototype
2. The interior is aligned with the Model S
3. Has an armored body and bulletproof glass
4. Zero hundred acceleration of 2.9 seconds, endurance of 804km
Cybertruck has now reopened its booking on the official website, and the mass production version of this time has maintained the original taste of the 2019 prototype, but the details have been adjusted to meet the regulatory requirements of road driving.
The most obvious change is the addition of traditional black rearview mirrors and vertical wipers as large as heavy trucks. The hub does not have a fairing to reduce wind resistance, and the spokes are more sporty, but they are still equipped with off-road patterned tires, and it is believed that they will have a good passing ability on non-paved roads.
Cybertruck's overall body shape creates a two-dimensional flat effect, the lines are square and simple, and the recognition of the through-led daily running lights is high. In the gaps in the bumper, the production version hides the headlights inside, and the door handles are removed on the sides, which is expected to have an automatic door function.
Although the interior of this mass production version has not been made public, the previous prototype has been exposed. The overall layout is close to that of the Model 3, the steering wheel style is the same as the modified Model S, and it is expected that the direction mechanism with variable steering ratio will also be used.
The 17-inch center screen can accommodate 6 people in the car, with a 3+3 seat layout and additional storage space under the second row of seats.
Due to the limited height of the roof-shaped door frames, visually entering and exiting the Cyberteruck's rear row will not be as convenient as traditional pickups. Similarly, the cargo case cover also limits the height of the cargo because of the slope, but the cover is covered with a large area of solar panels, which can add some range to Cybertoruck.
The production version of cyberruck also features a 30X cold-rolled stainless steel armor-resistant body and bulletproof glass. The entire vehicle is covered with cameras in many places and even the chassis to help the autopilot assistance system. The rear of the car has a towing system with a traction force of up to 6.4 tons and a storage capacity of 2832L in the cargo box.
Power is also a major issue, with Cybertruck offering single-motor rear-wheel drive, dual-motor and three-motor all-wheel drive in three versions. The fastest acceleration time of 0-100km/h is only 2.9 seconds, which has already achieved supercar-level acceleration performance.
Interestingly, Tesla's upcoming flagship sports car, the Roadster, is also three-motor all-wheel drive, and its acceleration time of 0-100km/h has reached a more exaggerated 1.9 seconds.
The Cybertruck is available in 402km, 483km, 804km endurance versions with adjustable air suspension.
Based on the practicality of Cyberruck's pickup truck and the power of supercar, it is believed that its price will not be cheap, and the professor estimates that it will be above the Model S's 88.999-105.999 million. In addition, the three versions have a big gap in power and endurance, so this is expected to be reflected in the price range.
Cybertruck's current competitors are also mostly American brands, including the Ford F-150 Lightning, Rivian R1T, GMC Hummer EV, and GMC SIERRA Denali, which will be released this year:

Rivian R1T
GMC Hummer EV
GMC SIERRA Denali
Cybertruck, as its name suggests, is cyber-style, and only a car company like Tesla, which likes to subvert tradition, can put it into mass production so quickly. The Cybertruck goes beyond the use of the pickup model itself and is already a high-end fashion commodity.
