The Tesla pickup, Cyberteruck, caused a stir two years ago when it was released. First, it's oddly shaped; second, because it's the product of Tesla's genius inventor and marketing expert Elon Musk; and third, because it exhibits some of the most abnormal and excessive features you'll ever see in a car.
Tesla's first pickup truck came, and this electric pickup truck was called the Cyber Truck. It looks like this, both superb and bad, depending on who you're asking. This little truck has a lot to learn and love, and here will show you all its advantages and disadvantages.
On November 21, 2019, the car debuted at an event in Hasson, California, where Tesla's design studio is located.
This truck will come in three basic versions. These three versions are...
The first version: Rear-wheel drive, single-motor truck with a maximum range of 250 mph (402 km/ h) and a speed of 60 mph in 6.5 seconds.
The second version: an all-wheel drive twin-motor racer truck with a range of 300 miles (482 km). It can drag 10,000 pounds of weight and reach speeds of 60 miles per hour in 4.5 seconds. This model sells for $49,900.
Premium: All-wheel drive of the three-cylinder engine, the 500-mile (905 km) range is even more impressive. It can drag objects weighing up to 14,000 pounds and accelerate from 0 to 60 miles in 2.9 seconds. It will cost $69,900.
According to Tesla CEO Elon Musk, the Cyber Truck starts at $39,900.
Don't get too excited, though, you'll have to wait a few years for mass production. Pre-sales are currently underway.
As if the boxy visuals weren't enough to get the public's attention, Musk conducted a series of tests and gimmicks on the Cyber truck to attract attention.
Tesla's chief designer, Franz von Holzhausen, hit the door of the Cyber truck several times with a sledgehammer to prove its durability. They claim it's bulletproof, but that remains to be seen.
Tesla also played a cyber truck in an old-fashioned tug-of-war with a Ford F-150. They saddled the two trucks and told them to run. Unexpectedly, cyber trucks won.
A Porsche 911 racing with a Cyber truck is enough to pique the interest of any car enthusiast. Surprise, surprise again, Cyber Truck wins.
But not all tests were good for Cyber trucks. In the same display as the sledgehammer, Franz von Holzhausen smashed a metal ball against the bodywork to show its solidity, but the windows were shattered...
There is no center console here. The Cyber Truck can seat up to 6 people!
What should I do with stainless steel that has undergone 30 cold rolls? Made a Cyber truck out of it.
The standard version of the Cyber truck has a total payload of 3,500 pounds, and it can also be used to add a motorhome.
Cyber Trucks have 100 cubic feet of storage space.
A 17-inch touchscreen will be placed on the modernist dashboard. There are no multi-section buttons or bent air conditioners. Everything about Cyber Trucks is streamlined.
The Tesla Cybertron truck has a vault length of 6.5 feet and a 4-inch suspension in both directions.
The idea has been circulating among the public since 2012. Elon Musk then tweeted that he "would love to build a Tesla super truck." By 2013, it was already in production.
In 2016, Cyber Trucks became part of Tesla's 2016 master plan, officially becoming a product on paper.
In 2018, Musk mentioned that cyber trucks (which were little known at the time) had become the prototype for "futurism, cyberpunk, and blade runners."
According to Elon Musk, the truck body is made of the same cold-rolled stainless steel alloy as the SpaceX rocket.
100 cubic feet of storage is a big number. Parts come in the form of lockable storage spaces under the hood and along the sides of the truck.
The Cybertruck trunk has a built-in sliding lid, so you can decide whether to turn you on or off. Honestly, this should have happened long ago.
An adaptive air suspension system will allow the driver to choose how high the Cyber truck sits off the ground. Off-road situations require higher clearance heights, which can be achieved at the push of a button.
Cyber Trucks comes with an "autonomous driving" option and sells for $7,000. However, this is not yet a reality. This will depend on when the software proves ready.
Towards the end of his debut, Elon Musk had one last trick to ensure that the event would be unforgettable.
"Oh yeah, we also did an all-terrain vehicle," Musk said, which confused the audience.
The Tesla ATV is all-electric and built in coordination with Cyber Trucks. The ATV driver pulls the car to the stage, walks over to the truck, lowers the tailgate, opens a built-in ramp, and drives the ATV directly to the storage bed. It was a wonderful debut!
