On the morning of December 18, 2021, the press conference of the first China Xiapu Ocean Poetry Society and the New Era Marine Poetry Forum was held at the China Museum of Modern Literature, announcing that the Ocean Poetry Conference and Poetry Forum will be held in Xiapu, Fujian Province at the turn of spring and summer of 2022.
Huo Junming, deputy editor-in-chief of the Poetry Journal of the China Writers Association, introduced the relevant background of the decision to organize the first China Xiapu Ocean Poetry Conference and the New Era Marine Poetry Forum at the press conference, and then played a promotional short film "Poetry Coast Blue Xiapu", which poetically presented the poetry of Ningde culture, Mindong poetry group and Xiapu poetry.
Ningde Xiapu is an important town of fujian marine culture, represented by Xiapu poets Tang Yangzong, Ye Yulin, Xie Yixing, Liu Weixiong, etc., the "Mindong Poetry Group" is well-known throughout the country, and the creation of marine poetry is at the forefront of the country. Tang Yangzong, the winner of the Seventh Lu Xun Literature and Poetry Award, was first known for "ocean poetry"; female poet Ye Yulin continued to create and publish a large number of excellent marine poems, which were praised by the poetry circle as "daughters of the sea"; Xie Yixing, Liu Weixiong and others also consciously built the spiritual hometown of poetry centered on the sea in their hometown. It can be said that the ocean has given the "Mindong Poetry Group" a broad vision and nourished the tenacious and exuberant vitality of the Mindong poets.
The first China Xiapu Marine Poetry Association and New Era Marine Poetry Forum will summarize the experience of "Marine Poetry", excavate the profound marine culture of Xiapu, promote the prosperity and development of marine poetry in the new era, and further carry forward the "Light of Eastern Fujian" proposed and advocated by General Secretary Xi Jinping when he worked in Ningde.
