Chen Kangrong spent her student years in the motherland, after graduating from Xiamen University, she returned to Myanmar and worked as a teacher at Yangon Overseas Chinese Girls' High School, when she went abroad, the northeast had fallen, so when she taught, she often spread the idea of anti-Japanese national salvation to students, and at the same time she also participated in the Yangon Youth Association outside the school, often organizing propaganda and patriotic activities against Japan.
After the outbreak of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, Chen Kangrong, who returned to China to participate in the anti-Japanese war, joined the party, and in 1938 she was ordered to return to her hometown of Qiling to carry out anti-Japanese propaganda as a teacher, although the underground work was full of dangers, but there were also warm times, in the work Chen Kangrong met his lover Huang Huizhai, and with the permission of the organization, the two married, but Chen Kangrong did not expect that their loving days were only two years.
On July 16, 1940, Chen Kangrong received a notice from the organization that she was in a very dangerous situation because of the betrayal of the traitors, and just as she was packing up her things and preparing to leave, the enemy surrounded the place and arrested her.
In order to lure her down, the Japanese army put forward many attractive conditions, but Chen Kangrong did not agree, soft no, the Japanese army began to torture to extract confessions, the hateful enemy stripped her of her clothes, whipped her fiercely with a leather whip, and a whip mark was printed on her body, but Chen Kangrong just endured all this and never gave in to the enemy.
Later, the Japanese used cold water to wake up Chen Kangrong, who had been knocked unconscious, and she had just woken up and scolded the enemy, and after the torture failed, the Japanese finally decided to execute her, but did not expect that the enemy used a vicious method to kill her.
After the Japanese took her to the execution ground, they picked up her skin with a bayonet and cut her piece by piece, and after she suffered great pain, they threw her into a pit and buried her alive, and the heroine was only 25 years old when she died.
Although the heroine sacrificed, her tenacious and indomitable spirit of never yielding to the Japanese infected more and more people to join the anti-Japanese team, and later the Southwest Fujian Special Committee specially created the "Kangrong Detachment" to commemorate this great anti-Japanese heroine.
