Talk/Liu Yuquan: Xiaolian Star Shadow Out Late with Daylight Hanging

Dawn star shadow out of the evening with daylight hanging

"The stars are shining, and the sun is hanging in the evening." Ben was left behind and turned over to protect himself. "Tang Dynasty poet Liu Yuxi's "Wing Red Persimmon", at first reading, has no feeling, and the more you taste it, the more you taste it. There are not many catchy persimmon poems, and the persimmons hanging high on the branches of this tree are particularly shiny because of the "relics", they absorb the essence of the sun and the moon, whether it is early in the morning or at night, it is so crystal moist. Reciting this poem repeatedly, I always felt that "Liu Lang has come again before", liu Yuxi, who wrote "In the old days, Wang Xietang Qianyan, flew into the homes of ordinary people", Liu Yuxi, who wrote "Thousand sails on the side of the sinking boat, and wanmu chun in front of the sick tree", is also the Liu Yuxi who wrote "The Ming of the Burrow", he never suffered from loneliness, nor did he age, it seems that the clouds are light and the wind is light, but in fact the golden stone is indestructible.

In the creation of the painter Liu Yuquan, persimmons are also indispensable "a touch of red". When he went to the countryside to collect wind, he often met with persimmons, and the most memorable thing was the red persimmons that spread over the mountains in late autumn, and in the cold wind, they burned brightly, full and warm, and amazed the time. According to this, he created "Mengshan Dan Persimmon Xiangyun", with heart and affection, depicting this auspicious gift from nature to mankind. In recent years, due to the demands of friends, he has often written "As Intended" with Kaki as the title, forming his own unique style.

If the Meilan bamboo chrysanthemum has been endowed with many noble qualities, then the persimmon is the wish of people for happiness and festivity, it is bright in color, perfect in shape, sweet and juicy, and has its own auspicious attributes, which people like to hear. Persimmon harmonic "thing" "world", good things into pairs, four generations in the same house... Do what you want. "In this ordinary fruit, condensed with the poetry and wisdom of traditional culture, Xu Wei of the Ming Dynasty, Li Li of the Qing Dynasty have painted persimmons, and many modern and contemporary flower and bird painters such as Qi Baishi, Wang Xuetao, Sun Qifeng, Yu Xining, etc. have been painted with persimmons, persimmons are common subjects in Chinese painting, and everyone can find reflection and sustenance in it. That's what makes it fascinating. Liu Yuquan said.

In the middle of the winter afternoon, we met in Liu Yuquan's studio "Quansheng Hall", known as the interview, which was actually a tea narrative, full of drinks and no words, and happy talk. Talking about the jai number, Liu Yuquan said that it is also a wonderful source: in 1982, in order to go to Hebei to experience life for graduation creation, he got acquainted with the station manager of a rural cultural station, and he took a party seal, and the three words of "Quanshengtang" in white text were originally carved by Qi Baishi. "At that time, I didn't buy it for economic reasons, but I used red ink to expand the seal. I love this seal and never forget it. Looking at it is possessed, 'whole life', can also reflect the endless beauty of nature, in line with the characteristics of flower and bird painting, just use it as the name of the studio! ”

There will always be some divine strokes in life, the origin of the jai trumpet, and the same is true of certain things that change the trajectory of life.

"I was born in Yumen, which belongs to a county below Jiuquan, and that's how my name Yuquan comes from." Liu Yuquan's entire growth years were linked to the petroleum industry of New China. He followed his parents, who were oil workers, from a young age until he graduated from high school in 1974 at the Shengli Oilfield Children's School in Dongying, and he joined the oil army the following year. My thoughts go back to one day in 1979, when Liu Yuquan was working in the drilling line and was also an artistic youth obsessed with painting. "At that time, I saw the notice in the "Dazhong Daily" that 'Shandong Art School was upgraded to a college and recruited undergraduates', so I decided to apply for the exam." After that, of course, everything was smooth, and those who were prepared seized the opportunity and did not live up to the time, entering the school to study hard, graduating and staying in school, calligraphy and painting creation and preaching and teaching flew together, promoting each other.

Of course, a person is not "possessed" by art for no reason. "I was deeply influenced by my uncle since I was a child, he was a worker painter; in addition, when I was working in the oil system, I was working in Beijing for a while, and I came into contact with a master Li who was deeply artistically cultivated, and under his inspiration and influence, I established the direction of study of Chinese painting." Liu Yuquan added.

Over the past few decades, Liu Yuquan has devoted himself to the creation and research of flower and bird painting, interpreting the connotation and spirit of Chinese flower and bird painting with fine brush and ink and vivid shape. As an art educator, while teaching technical skills, he guides students to have a deep understanding of the cultural connotation, philosophical concepts and aesthetic themes of Chinese flower and bird painting, and there have been more than 20 master's degree students in the direction of Chinese flower and bird painting from his door, in addition, a group of advanced study students have been trained in the society.

"Out of the love of traditional calligraphy and painting, through their own hard work, engaged in art education and painting creation, it is lucky and worth cherishing." Liu Yuquan said. He is serious and rigorous in his work and painting, has a scholarly style, has no pretentious temperament, is solemn and humorous, his face is full of joy, his affinity is full, and he always has his own persistence in the art of painting.

"I was first a teacher and then a painter. Painting is also for the needs of teaching, so it is necessary to dabble in a lot of subject matter and content, and the subject matter also grows with each other. 'One trick fresh, eat all over the sky' this saying I do not agree, bamboo peach blossoms, warblers crying green willows, lotus wind to send incense, birds through the forest... Nature is so rich and poetic, our horizons should be open. Maybe eventually Bo will return to the contract, but it does not have to be limited to something all the time. ”

Give water with flowers to make it alive and fragrant. As a flower and bird painter, Liu Yuquan's hobbies are also nourishing "painting", such as reading and writing, such as recitation and singing. "According to the artistic conception of the painting, it is quite interesting to find the corresponding poetry and song in classical traditional literature to chant and inscription, or to conceive a flower and bird painting according to the poetic mood." Idly humming songs can also get inspiration from the lyrics and melodies. When going out to sketch, Liu Yuquan often composed his own poems "out of the oven", recording what he saw, expressing his feelings, and sometimes having good sentences, which belonged to the "Music Bard School".

Flowers and plants in all seasons, day and night. Liu Yuquan believes that he is "relatively stupid, his understanding of things is gradually enlightened, and he does not belong to the kind of clever and agile people", he focuses on the things he loves, conveys the gods for the grass and trees, and explores a language of flower and bird painting art form that is different from tradition and closer to reality and in line with contemporary aesthetic consciousness, and is down-to-earth and determined.

The conversation was enjoyable, and I didn't realize that it was late. Before I said goodbye, I admired the works hanging on the walls of the studio again, and I was happy to see the tomatoes full of branches, which nourished the eyes and warmed the heart.
