On December 17, Mercedes-Benz's new pure electric flagship sedan EQS was officially launched, and a total of X models were launched for the new car, and the official price range was XXX.XX-XXX.XX million yuan. EQS is the first model under the Mercedes-Benz pure electric EVA platform, positioned as a large pure electric sedan, the new car appearance adopts a bow body design, the interior is equipped with a large curved screen with three screens in one, providing EQS 450+ and EQS 580 4MATIC + two power models, the maximum cruising range under CLTC conditions is 800km. After the listing of the Mercedes-Benz EQS, it will mainly compete with the BMW i7, Tesla Model S and other models launched next year.
The Mercedes-Benz EQS's bowed body design, combined with hidden door handles, makes it a production car with a drag coefficient of only 0.20Cd, making it the lowest wind resistance coefficient ever produced. The new car features the AMG Exterior Style Kit, with a three-pronged starlight logo integrated inside the grille and digital headlights on both sides with a strip of running daily lights. The side is more characteristic that the wiper water filling port is set at the left front fender, and the through-led led light group at the rear of the car is very recognizable after lighting.
Unlike the fuel flagship S-Class, the Mercedes-Benz EQS interior features a highly technologically advanced MBUX Hyperscreen system curved screen, which is made of irregular curved glass, with three displays embedded in it and integrated with turbine-style air outlets on both sides. In terms of human-computer interaction, the new car adopts the concept of "zero level" interaction, the commonly used functions can be operated without scrolling the screen, without turning the page, and the AI artificial intelligence with learning ability is also the first model of Mercedes-Benz to support the OTA of the whole vehicle.
In terms of power, the Mercedes-Benz EQS offers two power options, the EQS 450+ adopts a rear axle single motor layout, with a maximum power of 245kW and a peak torque of 550N·m. The EQS 580 4MATIC is equipped with dual motors front and rear, a maximum power of 385 kW, a peak torque of 828 N·m, and an acceleration of only 4.1 seconds per 100 km/h. In addition, the Mercedes-Benz EQS is equipped with air suspension, rear wheel steering system, and the turning radius is only 10.9 meters, which is smaller than the A-class.
In terms of battery life, both Models of Mercedes-Benz EQS are equipped with 111.8kWh lithium battery packs, with a cruising range of 849km under EQS 450+ CLTC conditions and a cruising range of 720km under EQS 580 4MATIC CLTC conditions. In terms of charging, EQS can charge from 10% to 80% in DC fast charge (400V voltage) mode in only 37 minutes, and in AC slow charge mode, it takes 10 hours and 30 minutes for the power to fully charge from 10%.
