General Secretary Xi Jinping pointed out: "The national characteristics of literature and art reflect the cultural recognition of a nation. "China's excellent traditional culture, including the Book of Poetry, Chu Ci, Han Fu, Tang poetry, Song Ci, Yuan Qu, Ming and Qing novels, etc., is the spiritual lifeblood of the Chinese nation." If you don't study poetry, you can't say anything", "The road is long, the road is long, and I will seek up and down", "Cover the article, the great cause of the country, the great event of immortality", "The text carries the road", "The pen falls into the storm, the poem becomes a weeping ghost god", "The cold star is not noticed, I recommend Xuanyuan with my blood"... The Chinese context is deep and deep, rich and splendid. As contemporary literary and artistic workers, we inherit such a long tradition.

I remembered the impact of a gala in the Qingming Shanghe Garden in Kaifeng, Henan Province, many years ago. It uses modern scientific and technological means and comprehensive artistic media to make the huge famous paintings of the Northern Song Dynasty move and live, conveying the enthusiasm of cultural creation. "The east wind blooms a thousand trees at night, more blowing down, the stars are like rain", a chorus with xin abandoned disease "Qingyu Case , New Year's Eve" as the lyrics at the party, let people see the charm of Chinese culture across time and space that has not faded, triggering how many poetry, historical thoughts, literary feelings, and artistic dreams! At that time, I sighed: "Even if it is only to appreciate the poetry of Xin Renjie, in the next life, in the next life, I still have to do Chinese." ”

Our cultural traditions are one that never ends, one that is in tune with the world today, and one that is timeless. Our cultural self-confidence inevitably includes the transformation and innovation of China's excellent traditional culture. Tradition and modernity, popularization and improvement, learning and digestion, inheritance and development must complement each other, complement each other and prove each other.

On the basis of inheritance, it is the unshirkable mission of contemporary writers to write a new chapter in the ancient literary and artistic tradition. We have been fortunate to have experienced the suffering and rise of the Chinese nation, revolution and construction, development and changes, and witnessed one important historical node after another. Experience and witness are our precious treasures, and writing and depicting is our glorious mission. Over the years, writers and the masses of the people have become more and more intimate, and the works created have become thicker and heavier, vividly reflecting the brilliance and magnificence of the new era of endeavor. The Fifth Plenary Session of the 19th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China clearly put forward the long-term goal of building a cultural power by 2035. In the face of this goal, each of us should not take it lightly when thinking and arranging writing. Looking back on the tradition and looking forward to the future, I feel that the historical mission is as heavy as Taishan.

The development of literature and art in the new era is vigorous and full of enthusiasm. On the one hand, the increase in volume, the expansion of dissemination, the development of the audience are obvious to all, the development of cultural industries and consumer markets, and the richness and convenience of cultural choices are worth cheering; on the other hand, we also need to accept the test of time and the people, and the literary and artistic achievements of an era ultimately depend on the works. Strive for excellence and come up with excellent works worthy of our great nation and great era, and contemporary literary and art workers can do even better.

The times and the people are paying attention to China's cultural development, the creative transformation and innovative development of China's outstanding traditional culture with a long history, and looking forward to the continuous emergence of new literary chapters, literary masterpieces and literary masterpieces in a country with a population of more than 1.4 billion. The more heavy responsibilities we have on our shoulders, the more we must have the spirit of moving mountains and guarding the reclamation of the sea, and we must say, write, and do it to the letter!

Convey the cultural spirit with the beauty of calligraphy

Sun Xiaoyun

Through the wind and rain, Yangyang China has created a brilliant and splendid traditional culture, accumulated rich ideological elites and literary and artistic achievements, and a large number of them are precipitated in the unique charm of Chinese characters and calligraphy. Whether it is oracle bone bamboo jane, Le stone inscription, engraving engraving, movable type printing, are inseparable from text and calligraphy. In recent decades, we have undergone historic changes from brushes and pens to character library algorithms, speech input, etc., but the function of Chinese characters in carrying history and conveying aesthetics has not changed.

Chinese calligraphy has a fascinating charm and appeal. In particular, the spirit and wind bone it contains are more important to contemporary people to cultivate morality and strengthen the spirit. Chinese began to accept the influence of calligraphy art from an early age, and entered the vast world of Chinese culture. Through the copying and creation of stroke by stroke, cultivating personality, perfecting oneself, and improving the realm, this process is full of sense of gain and happiness. It can be said that our cultural cultivation begins with writing every Chinese word well.

We live in a new era of grandeur and weather. In this context, calligraphy art workers should combine their personal artistic pursuits with the development of the times, reflect the great changes in history and depict the spiritual map with the pen in their hands, so as to paint a portrait of the times, establish a legacy for the times, and be a mingde for the times. This year, the Chinese Calligraphers Association held the "Great Cause: Celebrating the Centenary of the Founding of the Communist Party of China Calligraphy Exhibition" at the National Museum of China and the National Library of China, showing the century-old history of the Party with the art of calligraphy, and launching a number of calligraphy works that are popular with the people in the era of recording and praising the era.

Inheritance is not only from the past, and innovation is not a passive water. I have always positioned myself as a "calligraphy practitioner", what I want to do is to "open up my own life with the rules of the ancients", and strive to build a bridge between traditional Chinese calligraphy and contemporary calligraphy, so that people can not only see the long tradition of calligraphy, but also feel the strong aesthetic atmosphere of the times, and help more people appreciate and learn Chinese calligraphy.

In the past five years, I have participated in the lecture tour organized by the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles and have been to many places. The face-to-face exchanges with grassroots literary and art workers and enthusiasts made me truly feel the great enthusiasm people have for China's excellent traditional culture. So many people love calligraphy, which is a powerful motivation for calligraphy artists. We must let calligraphy enter the school, into the family, into daily life, so that more people can approach calligraphy and love calligraphy.

Contemporary calligraphy artists should bear in mind their historical mission. Through the practice of practicing what we preach, we will inherit and develop Chinese calligraphy, show the beauty of Chinese characters and the beauty of culture, let the beautiful Chinese characters convey the cultural spirit, and let Chinese calligraphy become the enduring cultural symbols and spiritual identities of the Chinese nation. At the same time, it also allows more people to feel the charm of Chinese culture and Chinese aesthetics from calligraphy, enhance the pride of being a Chinese, and set sail on the new journey of the new era with a firmer, more confident and full mental state.

Let people see the promising future of opera art

Lou Sheng

Xiqu is one of the representatives of China's excellent traditional culture. As a young opera actor, I have been thinking about how to break the stereotype that young people do not like opera. Taking the Wu opera art I am engaged in as an example, in the process of performance, I feel more and more that opera can win more people's attention through continuous innovation. The art of opera is rooted in the land of China and has a long and extensive mass base. As long as there is an opportunity to understand and contact, people who are not familiar with opera will also fall in love with it.

Attracting more people to enter the theater and stay in the theater will have a cornerstone for the development of opera. In order to retain the old audience, the creators may have a conservative mentality and pay insufficient attention to innovation in the process of editing. For example, some traditional dramas, some of their ideological content and the current era are estranged, if they remain unchanged, it is difficult to win new audiences. Content innovation that conforms to the aesthetic tastes of the times is the only magic weapon for the continuous inheritance of opera. Young actors should break through old concepts and boldly change, not only to let young audiences walk in, but also to let everyone enjoy watching and enjoying. To this end, when we process traditional plays or choreograph new plays, we will not only retain the characteristics of Wu opera but also make appropriate changes, form innovative expressions, and let young people resonate, so as to better feel the essence and charm of opera art.

With the continuous development of the economy and society, the venues for opera performances are also changing. In the past, Wu opera ban often performed on rural grass stages, and most of the plays were performed for a long time and the style was relatively rough. Now, Wu opera has stepped onto the theater stage, and entering the theater to see the drama has become a new viewing mode. This puts forward new requirements for the arrangement of the repertoire. "If there is a play, it is long, and if there is no play, it is short", delete and transform some unnecessary cutscenes, put the main play in the place where the audience really wants to see, and put it where the actor can play the most, so that a play can meet or even exceed the audience's expectations and gain the audience's recognition.

Innovation in performance is also my constant pursuit. Actors performing on stage is a process of continuous exploration, sometimes the same theater performance, the scene is new. Every scene, the state of the actors is different, the audience's reaction is different, and new sparks will be rubbed out. I often have a sense of inspiration on the stage, and suddenly find innovative ideas. Acting in traditional drama is not a copy for me, and every action and every look carries my own new understanding. However, performance innovation cannot be separated from the opera program, and it is necessary to retain the wonderful figure and steps, retain the four skills and five methods, and retain the artistic beauty of virtual actions. Only in this way can opera innovation stand the test of time and carry forward its unique aesthetic connotation and artistic charm.

Hearing applause on the stage is a particularly happy thing for the performers, which not only means the recognition of the audience, but also makes people see the promising future of opera art. Tradition is wealth is not a shackle, and when we promote art, we must have the courage to keep the integrity and the courage to innovate. I will use the valuable artistic experience handed down by my predecessors to make the ancient seeds of opera grow new shoots of the times and bloom with new brilliance.

Singing Chinese opera well casts the soul of the nation

Meng Guanglu

General Secretary Xi Jinping pointed out: "We must attach importance to the development of nationalized artistic content and form, inherit and carry forward the tradition of national folk literature and art, expand style genres and formal styles, and clearly establish Chinese style and Chinese style in the field of world literature and art." "Peking Opera is not only a traditional art, but also an art of the times. It is the unshirkable responsibility of our generation of Peking opera people to let the art of Peking Opera walk with the times.

I have never worried that Peking Opera will lose its audience, because It is full of profound Chinese culture, rich and profound artistic characteristics, and its charm is beyond doubt. However, in the current multicultural market, the competitiveness of opera is not strong. The times are changing, and Peking Opera must also respond to the changes of the times and carry out just the right innovation on the basis of inheritance in order to fully display its cultural connotation and artistic charm.

The inheritance and innovation of opera needs theoretical support, and it also needs the promotion of artistic practice. On the one hand, through in-depth excavation of opera traditions and careful rehearsal of classic plays, the essence of opera art has been solidly inherited. A play can be passed down for a hundred years, it must have its valuable points, in the rehearsal process to continue to learn from the previous masters, carefully ponder the doorway. Art is kung fu, and kung fu must be studied. If you want to interpret the art of Peking Opera with emotion and emotion, the learning is endless. On the other hand, it is necessary to convey the charm of traditional art in a way that is acceptable to today's people. In today's abundant supply of cultural products, if we want to make opera close to the vast audience, we must have creations that fit the times, singing voice designs that reflect the characteristics of genres, and references to modern performing arts and dance techniques.

The development and prosperity of a form of art performance depends not only on the artistic level of the practitioners, but also on the audience and on the market. Closer to the public and closer to life is an inevitable requirement for the prosperity and development of art. In recent years, the state has spent great efforts and invested special funds to support the development of China's excellent traditional culture. As a Peking Opera actor, I have witnessed the transformation of the audience from less to more, and the theater from cold to warm, which is inseparable from the guidance and support at the national level, the improvement of public cultural services, and the implementation of cultural projects to benefit the people.

Major theaters and performance groups also recognize the importance of letting Peking Opera lay down its body and enter the masses. Big dramas must be rehearsed, and small dramas that the people like to hear must also be done. Peking Opera artists take the initiative to explore flexible and diverse forms to let art enter the community and go to the people's side to meet the people's needs for a better life. In recent years, I have tried to perform Peking Opera in the form of live webcasting, bridging the gap between actors and audiences, traditional culture and contemporary life through new media, and this process has brought me many new harvests.

Walking with the times, it gives Peking Opera art more vitality and vitality. Traditional Peking Opera has interpreted a wealth of historical stories, and now the new screenwriting works emotionally tell the profound changes in contemporary China, show the spiritual outlook of contemporary Chinese, and tell Chinese stories and spread Chinese culture with more good works that can be sung, spread and retained.

Singing Chinese opera well and casting the national soul, we have confidence and more determination!

Tell the Story of China in the Wave of Science and Technology

Guo Fan

Film is a literary and artistic form loved by the people, and it is also an important symbol of the country's cultural image and cultural soft power. Since the Eighteenth National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the Chinese film industry has been full of vitality, and a number of high-quality masterpieces have emerged, and filmmakers have more consciously used the audiovisual language with Chinese aesthetic style to tell Chinese stories, and strive to create excellent films that highlight the Chinese spirit and the sense of a community with a shared future for mankind.

As a science fiction film director, I firmly believe that science fiction films will thrive in China as long as you find a good way to transform creativity. The Chinese nation has been an imaginative nation since ancient times, and myths and stories such as Pangu opening the sky, praising the father day by day, and Chang'e running to the moon have strongly proved this. Contemporary science fiction literary and artistic creation needs to deeply explore the core of Chinese culture, creatively transform the cultural resources and aesthetic spirit accumulated by the Chinese nation for thousands of years into literary and artistic forms that are easy for contemporary audiences to understand and accept, and create stories that can resonate emotionally and culturally. Chinese culture will give Chinese science fiction literature and art a unique possibility.

Science fiction movies are a combination of artistic beauty and technological beauty. The growth of national scientific and technological strength escorts the development of Chinese science fiction films and provides the possibility of technological realization; the rapid development of science and technology also creates a strong atmosphere for the public to accept and appreciate science fiction films. At present, we are exploring the establishment of an industrialized film production system, which is an important cornerstone of the science fiction film and television industry. The state also gives strong support to science fiction films from the policy level. In 2020, the National Film Administration and the China Association for Science and Technology jointly issued the Several Opinions on Promoting the Development of Science Fiction Films, strengthening support and guidance for the creation and production, distribution and screening of science fiction films, special effects technology, and talent training. With the support of these policies and measures, the talent team, technical level, production publicity, etc. of science fiction films will make great progress.

Solid innovation in industry, content, technology and art is the only way for the development of Chinese science fiction films. After the science fiction film The Wandering Earth, we started a new film. Despite the experience of making the previous game, it was a difficult and challenging journey of discovery for all participants. In the process of creation, we have many new attempts, but also encountered many new problems, there is no experience to learn from, only bravely face, carefully analyze, solve one by one.

Chinese science fiction films are still in the growth stage, and there are many difficulties, but the economic and social development, the rapid development of cutting-edge science and technology, and the transformation and innovation of China's excellent traditional culture have brought huge development space to science fiction creation, and the "science fiction fever" continues to heat up, and the prospects for science fiction movies can be expected. As a director who has grown up in the new era, I am willing to shoulder the glorious responsibility and mission entrusted by the times, explore the unknown with many outstanding filmmakers, strive to forge ahead, tell Chinese stories well in the wave of science and technology, jointly pave a runway for Chinese science fiction films to take off, and promote the continuous progress of Chinese science fiction films and climb new heights.
