In 1925, when Hu Lian took the graduation examination in the Guanzhong area, he was at the top of the list. His teacher advised his parents to continue to support Hu Lian in school. However, because the family was too poor, they had to give up.
At that time, the learned Hu Lian could have engaged in many professions. He can choose to be a teacher who "spring silkworms to the end of dead silk, wax torches into gray tears and begin to dry", teaching and educating people; he can also dig for the first bucket of gold in life in the commercial sea.
