Among the three people of Kangxi, Yongzheng and Qianlong, although the evaluation of Kangxi in later generations is very high, it is still the strongest ability of Yongzheng. Because the prosperous world founded by Kangxi is largely still with the help of his ancestors, yongzheng can solve it step by step when there are hidden dangers in all aspects, and continue the prosperity.
However, this great master was also pitiful, and the savings he had saved through his life's hard work were finally given to him by Qianlong. From this, it can also be seen that the greatest credit of Kangqian's prosperity should be attributed to Yongzheng.
And Yongzheng's son Qianlong, in fact, his ability is relatively middle and upper compared to the emperors of previous dynasties, but because he likes to brag about himself, he annoys others.
After the prosperous kangqian dynasty, the Jiaqing Emperor accepted the rule of the Qing Dynasty. However, this Jiaqing Emperor's ability was very average, and it was completely incomparable with the three great masters of his ancestors. Here there is a doubt, Qianlong is very arrogant, on the conceit, really not to lose to others. Why, then, would Qianlong willingly hand over the throne to this mediocre son?
The answer to this question is actually full of helplessness, because don't look at Qianlong's sons, but when Qianlong is old, his sons die with only some mediocre abilities or annoy him, and Jiaqing, that is, the fifteenth brother, is considered to be the best of them.
Next, we start with the eldest son of the emperor and tell the experiences of all the children of Qianlong one by one to better explain why Qianlong chose the fifteenth brother.
The first was the emperor's eldest son, Yong Huang, who was relatively unlucky and could be said to have been forced to die by Qianlong. At that time, Yong Huang was humiliated by Qianlong in public just because he attended the funeral of Qianlong's favorite wife, Empress Fucha, and did not behave so sadly.
The reason why Qianlong wanted to humiliate Yong Huang was not only to vent his heartache of losing his beloved wife, but also because Yong Huang, as the eldest son of Shu, had always shown extreme fanaticism for the throne, which made Qianlong very disgusted.
Because of Qianlong's humiliation, Yong Huang fell ill after he returned, and two years later, Yong Huang died at the age of 22.
Then there was the second son, Yonglian. Yonglian was the eldest son of Qianlong's favorite wife, Empress Fucha, and was Qianlong's concubine, who was deeply loved by Qianlong and was the most recognized heir to the throne in his heart at the beginning. It is a pity that although Yonglian was favored by his father, he died of smallpox before he was ten years old.
Qianlong did not go to the court for five whole days because of this, and later Qianlong often chanted Yonglian, which shows the depth of Qianlong's love for him.
The third prince, Yongzhang, was a completely poor creature, and both Yonghuang were scolded for not showing too much sadness at Empress Fucha's funeral, but Yongzhang also bore part of his father's resentment towards Yonghuang.
Unlike Yong Huang, Yong Zhang was only about thirteen years old at the time, and his father scolded him, but he was still young, so he would not be beaten like his brother. But at that time, Qianlong's scolding of him also affected Yongzhang's life. More than ten years later, Yongzhang, who was only 26 years old, also died of illness.
The fourth son, Yongjun, was equally unlucky. In fact, Yong Juan lived very clearly, he knew that his birth mother's status was not high, and he would not have the opportunity to inherit the throne in the future, so he began to be an idle brother honestly. Unfortunately, because prince Lu died and his son died early, after this branch was about to be broken, Qianlong passed YongJun to their family, so that Yongjun was demoted to a collateral descendant.
The fifth son, Yongqi, is the most famous one. He was also a very optimistic prince of Qianlong, because he was born intelligent, had both culture and martial arts, could afford big scenes, and had achievements in all aspects. Qianlong was so fond of him that he soon made him a prince, a treatment that no other prince had ever treated.
But Qianlong's children seemed to be cursed, and Prince Yongqicheng fell ill and died a year later, which once again dealt Qianlong a huge blow.
The sixth son, Yong Yao, was in a similar situation to his fourth brother, and he was also passed on to other princes.
The seventh son, Yong Chun, was the second son of Empress Fucha, and Qianlong loved him far more than any other. When Yong Chun was two years old, Qianlong boasted in front of all the courtiers about how good the two-year-old prince was, and basically decided that he was the heir to the throne. Unfortunately, Yong Chun was only two years old and died of smallpox.
Eight sons Yongxuan is one of the few people who live long. Unfortunately, although he lived to be nearly ninety years old, he was a person with a leg disability, and his mother died early, and Qianlong was also very cold to him. Yong Xuan knew that there was no hope for the future, so he indulged in sound and color, making Qianlong even more disgusted with him.
From the eighth son, except for the eleventh, twelfth, and fifteenth sons, the other princes died prematurely.
The eleventh son, Yong Yao, although talented, did not like to ride and shoot, and cut the door for people, which made Qianlong disgusted; the twelfth son, Yong Yao, because of the contradiction between his mother and his father, was ignored by Qianlong and did not knight in his life, which was very pitiful.
In the end, there were only fifteen sons left, Jiaqing, who could still enter Qianlong's eyes.
