On the afternoon of December 15, Dongguan City held a press conference on the prevention and control of the new crown pneumonia epidemic to report on the latest progress in the handling of the epidemic.
According to reports, after the diagnosis of the designated hospital, the two asymptomatic infected people reported by Dongguan City on the morning of December 14 have been turned into confirmed cases. The two new cases of asymptomatic infection reported on the morning of the 15th have also been turned into confirmed cases.
After epidemiological investigation, the four confirmed cases have a clear epidemiological link, all of which are in the same chain of transmission. As of 14:00 on the afternoon of the 15th, a total of 535 close contacts have been identified in the city, all of which have been isolated and nucleic acid testing and sampling, and are under control.
According to the sequencing results of the second and third generation genes of the Guangdong Provincial Center for Disease Control and Prevention, the viruses of the two cases reported on December 14 were all Delta variants, and the sequence was highly homologous to the cases reported in other provinces, belonging to the same chain of transmission, and the nucleic acid load of the specimen virus was high, indicating that the virus had a large amount of detoxification and strong transmission.

Local confirmed case 1: Zhang Moumou, male, 52 years old, currently residing in Xinzhou Garden Community, Baota District, Yan'an City, is a close contact of the local confirmed case 2 released on December 15. Local confirmed case 3: Mu Moumou, male, 28 years old, currently residing in Hanguang Lane, Daxue East Road, Beilin District, Xi'an City, is a close contact of the local confirmed case 1 released on December 15. Mu Moumou was isolated for medical observation as a close contact, during which he tested positive for nucleic acid, and was diagnosed as a confirmed case of new crown pneumonia (mild) by the expert group at 10:30 on December 16.
Local asymptomatic infected person: Gao X, male, 10 years old, currently lives in the north district of Chang'an Community, Zi County, in the southern section of Suzaku Avenue, Xi'an City. On December 15, during the screening and nucleic acid testing of key personnel, it was found that the mixed test results of Gao X and X were abnormal, and then he was transferred and isolated, and the xi'an Municipal Center for Disease Control and Prevention reviewed the results positive. At 10:30 on December 16, after consultation with the expert group, he was diagnosed as an asymptomatic infected person with new crown pneumonia.

The above confirmed cases and asymptomatic infected people have been transferred to designated medical institutions for isolation treatment and medical observation, and the specific activity trajectory has been released by Xi'an City and Yan'an City.
Guangzhou added 1 new case
Today (December 16) afternoon, Guangzhou Epidemic Prevention and Control Press Conference (2021 total 171st) was held.
Chen Bin, deputy director of the Guangzhou Municipal Health Commission and spokesman of the Guangzhou Municipal Health Commission, said at the meeting that there was a new case of asymptomatic infection imported from abroad in Guangzhou, who was an airline cargo plane pilot. On December 13, he flew back to Guangzhou from Paris, France, returned to his residence in our district after a negative nucleic acid test result at the customs, conducted a routine nucleic acid test on December 15, and gave positive feedback on the 16th. After receiving the report, the city and district quickly launched an emergency plan for epidemic disposal, carried out terminal disinfection of the asymptomatic infected person's home and surrounding environment, carried out key area control and personnel nucleic acid testing, and the nucleic acid test of the asymptomatic infected family members was currently negative, the family environment was detected positive, and the circulation work was still in progress.
