Zheng Kai not only served as the producer of the play, but also played the hot-blooded criminal police officer Ji Fan in the play, and as the characters uncovered the truth of the serial murder case layer by layer, an old case from 27 years ago was also unveiled. Recently, Zheng Kai was interviewed by the media to talk about the experience of shaping the role of criminal police, the feelings of cooperation with Zhang Guoguo, Lin Feng and others, and the production details of the play.

"Also Ordinary" opens with a bizarre "subway murder case", criminal police officer Ji Fan just experienced the murder scene on the subway in the morning rush hour, after exploration, Ji Fan initially deduced the victim's killing process, super observation and logical thinking ability, accelerated the advancement of the case.
After the premiere episode was broadcast, Zheng Kai's new image in the play caused a heated discussion among the audience: this criminal police officer is different! He is well-dressed, has stylish hair, talks humorously, and is a highly educated professional elite. Zheng Kai frankly said that at the beginning of the creation of "Also Ordinary", the creator discussed the screen image of the criminal police with the experts of the Ministry of Public Security: "Many viewers have the impression that the criminal police are not trim, have a beard, and have been wearing a leather coat, but the criminal police in the new era are indeed different." Zheng Kai's investigation found that many young criminal policemen are both tall and handsome and professional, and the family conditions are not bad, so he wants to bring the image of criminal police in the new era by shaping Ji Fan.
In the first few episodes of the play, Ji Fan often gags and ridicules with his colleagues, and Xiong Zhennan, the criminal police captain played by Dani, is a pair of joyful enemies, and the painting style is quite comedic. Zheng Kai explained: "We added light and funny elements, deliberately making the early tone not gray. Talking about the creative concept, Zheng Kai introduced that "Also Ordinary" was originally called "Mask", which means that the negative characters also have two sides, and everyone wears a mask: "The national teacher and Brother Feng rarely play the negative characters, and this subversion of the performance makes the audience very enjoyable, and they perform the characteristics of the characters who are both good and evil. "Also Ordinary" is the second cooperation between Zheng Kai and Zhang Guoli after "Long Time Gone". Zheng Kai said: "The second time I played the son of a national teacher, I was very familiar and comfortable. Why is the play called "Also Ordinary"? Zheng Kai explained that the first understanding is that "there are two brothers in the play, Ji Ping and Ji Fan, taking the words 'Ping' and 'Fan'"; the second understanding is that "there is a saying called 'Ordinary Life is Uneven, Mortals Are Extraordinary', and people's lives will experience ups and downs and glorious valleys, but no matter how many brilliant and heroic names are left in the world, they will eventually return to the ordinary."
Zheng Kai served as the producer of the play, talking about the feeling of changing identities, Zheng Kai frankly said that he was worried about more things: "The main task as an actor is to shape the role; as a producer, he must be responsible for the normal operation of the crew, including budget expenses, scene design, art construction, etc., and cooperate with the director to do the best in the imaging presentation of the play." ”
