Robinho is on the Interpol list and will be jailed for 9 years for gang rape

Brazil's Global Sports reported that former AC Milan and Manchester City striker Robinho has been on interpol's list and will be immediately arrested and extradited to Italy if he leaves Brazil.

In 2013, while playing for AC Milan, Robinho gang-raped a 23-year-old woman with his friend Ricardo Falco at a nightclub, and was subsequently found guilty and required to serve a nine-year sentence.

Robinho then returned to Brazil, where the Italian police were unable to arrest him because there was no extradition treaty between Brazil and Italy. Now that Robinho has been added to interpol's list, he can be extradited to Italy once he enters the 195 countries that have extradition treaties with Italy.

Stefano Opirio, director of international relations and judicial cooperation at the Italian Ministry of Justice, told Universal Sports that Robinho still has hope of being brought to justice. The Italian government will ask brazilian police to arrest Robinho and put him in a Brazilian prison.
