Recently, a black Porsche 911 Turbo prototype was tested in Europe in the winter, and while it doesn't look much different from a regular model, there are some subtle changes.

Most notably, the prototype features a unique front bumper, an enlarged air intake, and lacks the LED daytime running lights of the current model. The bumper in the figure is unlikely to be of mass production specification and may be changed before going public. However, this suggests that some front-end styling adjustments are already planned.

The rear of the 911 Turbo is basically the same as your current car, but Porsche's designers have adjusted the LED light bar, which is now divided in two and no longer runs through the width of the tail, and the final production version may also have a new bumper.

It's unclear what mechanical changes Porsche will make, but we have no doubt that it will seek any possible way to improve the sports car. Power will continue to be powered by a 3.8-liter twin-turbo engine and matched to an eight-speed PDK transmission.

It is expected to produce 572 horsepower and 553 pound-feet (750 Nm), while the Turbo S will reach 641 horsepower and 590 lb-ft (800 Nm).

Of course, all of the above styling tweaks will be made throughout the 911 family, but the Turbo and Turbo S models are expected to be the first to benefit from mid-term overhauls, with the updated model likely to launch in 2023.
