Originally, the morale of the soldiers was greatly injured, coupled with the sudden illness, the battle was seriously reduced, and Zhu Yuanzhang was in a hurry, and he looked up at the sky and sighed: "Why can't God get along with me!" ”

At this moment, Zhu Yuanzhang happened to see a white-headed old man walking by the military camp carrying two baskets full of herbs, so he immediately dismounted, bent down and asked, "Dare to ask Xian Weng what kind of herbs are picking?" The white-headed old man saw that he was a warrior and knew the book Dali, so he told the truth: "This herb grows in the nearby hillside wasteland and field, and its grass roots can be used to fry with purslane and tea leaves to prevent dysentery." Zhu Yuanzhang instantly felt that the soldiers had been saved, so he asked the bald old man to take the soldiers to dig on the nearby hillside, wash them when he returned, and fry them in a large pot with purslane and tea leaves. Soon after taking it, the soldiers became more dysentery and returned to battle.

In 1369, Zhu Yuanzhang defeated the Yuan army, claimed the title of emperor in Nanjing, and established the Ming Dynasty. One day, he recounted the past with the military master Liu Bowen and talked about the herbs of the white-haired old man who saved his soldiers. Liu Bowen asked Zhu Yuanzhang what the name of the herb was, and Zhu Yuanzhang said that at that time, he only cared about the safety of the soldiers and the importance of curing the disease, and did not ask the white-headed old man. Liu Bowen said that it is not impossible to call him a "white-headed man". Zhu Yuanzhang nodded knowingly.
