note! These 8 batches of food sampling were not qualified

Food and beverages, edible agricultural products, tea and related products, dairy products, beverages, alcohol, biscuits, potatoes and puffed foods... Are these foods that we often eat safe? Recently, the State Administration for Market Regulation organized a food safety supervision and sampling inspection.

This sampling inspection includes catering food, edible agricultural products, tea and related products, dairy products, beverages, alcohol, biscuits, potatoes and puffed foods, soy products, bee products, canned food, vegetable products, fruit products, condiments, frozen drinks, confectionery products, infant formula foods, special dietary foods and edible oils, oils and fats and their products.

166 batches of samples of 19 major categories of food:

8 batches of samples of 4 major categories of food, such as catering food, edible agricultural products, biscuits and vegetable products, are unqualified.

The main problems found were pesticide residues exceeding the standard, heavy metal contamination, excessive use of food additives, and substandard quality indicators.

For unqualified foods found in the sampling:

The State Administration for Market Regulation has instructed the provincial market supervision departments in Tianjin, Jilin, Fujian, Guangxi, Hainan, Guizhou, Yunnan and other provinces to immediately organize verification and disposal, find out the flow of products, and urge enterprises to take measures such as removing and recalling unqualified products from the shelves to control risks; strictly deal with violations of laws and regulations in accordance with the law; and promptly disclose the risk prevention and control measures and verification and disposal taken by enterprises to the public and report to the General Administration.

Specifics

First, the problem of pesticide residues exceeding the standard

(1) Cowpeas sold by Changchun Eurasia Supermarket Chain Co., Ltd. (1) The old ginger from Guizhou Qianzhi mushroom agricultural products trading co., Ltd. sold by The Changling North Road Branch of Guizhou Xingbox Zongheng Network Technology Co., Ltd. was found by the Jilin Provincial Food Inspection Institute that the lead (in Pb) test value did not meet the provisions of the national food safety standards. Guizhou Xingbox Zongheng Network Technology Co., Ltd. Changling North Road Branch raised objections to the inspection results and applied for re-inspection; after re-inspection by The Jilin Provincial Product Quality Supervision and Inspection Institute, the preliminary inspection conclusions were maintained.

(2) Yellow cauliflower sold by Long Lifen Department Store in Pingguo City, Baise City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, from the Nanning Kunzhen Condiment Business Department of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, of which the lead (in Pb) test value does not meet the provisions of the national food safety standards. The inspection agency is Chongqing Customs Technical Center.

Third, the problem of over-limit use of food additives

(1) Zhou Xianmin, Chishuiyuan Town, Zhenxiong County, Zhaotong City, Yunnan Province, processes homemade fritters, in which the residual amount of aluminum (dry samples, measured in Al) does not meet the provisions of the national food safety standards. The inspection institution is Chengdu Food Inspection and Research Institute.

(2) Tianjin Binhai New Area Mili Pancake Shop processes homemade fritters, of which the residual amount of aluminum (dry samples, measured in Al) does not meet the provisions of national food safety standards. The inspection institution is Qingdao Customs Technical Center.

(3) Tianjin Binhai New Area Jinguo Early Shop processing homemade fritters, of which the residual amount of aluminum (dry samples, measured in Al) does not meet the provisions of national food safety standards. The inspection institution is Qingdao Customs Technical Center.

Fourth, the quality indicators do not meet the standards

The corn-flavored soda biscuits sold at the Hao Tesco Shopping Center in Tianyang District, Baise City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, nominally produced by Xianggaihao Food Co., Ltd. in Longhai City, Fujian Province, were found by the Chongqing Customs Technology Center to be in line with the national standards for food safety. Fujian Longhai Xianggaihao Food Co., Ltd. raised objections to the inspection results and applied for re-inspection; after re-inspection by Fujian Product Quality Inspection and Research Institute, the preliminary inspection conclusion was maintained.

Appendix 1: Some of the sub-knowledge of unqualified inspection items

1. Oxygen Fruit

Oxylego is a broad-spectrum and highly effective systemic organophosphorus pesticide with good touch killing and gastric toxicity, mainly used for the prevention and control of sucking mouthpart pests and plant mites. A small amount of residue will not cause acute poisoning in the human body, but long-term consumption of foods exceeding the standard of oxygen fruit may have a certain impact on human health. The National Standard for Food Safety The maximum residue limit of pesticides in food (GB 2763-2019) stipulates that the maximum residue limit value of Oxy fruit in legumes and vegetables is 0.02mg/kg. The reason why the residual amount of oxyleberry in cowpea exceeds the standard may be illegal use for rapid pest control.

Second, thiamethoxamine

Thiamethoxamine is a neonicotinoid insecticide, which has the effect of systemic, touch killing and gastric toxicity, and has a good preventive effect on ginger maggots. A small amount of residue will not cause acute poisoning in the human body, but long-term consumption of food with excessive thioxazamine may have a certain impact on human health. The National Standard for Food Safety The maximum residue limit of pesticides in food (GB 2763-2019) stipulates that the maximum residue limit value of thiose amine in rhizome vegetables is 0.2mg/kg. The reason why the residual amount of thiamethoxamine in ginger exceeds the standard may be to quickly control the insect pest, increase the amount of medication or fail to comply with the regulations on the picking interval, resulting in excessive residues in the products on the market.

3. Lead (in Pb)

Lead is a common pollutant of heavy metals that can seriously endanger human health. Long-term consumption of food with excessive lead may cause damage to the human blood system and nervous system, especially on children's growth and intellectual development. The National Standard for Food Safety stipulates that the limit value of lead (in Pb) in fresh vegetables (except brassica vegetables, leafy vegetables, legumes and vegetables, and potatoes) is 0.1mg/kg, and the limit of pollutants in dried products is converted by the limit of pollutants in the corresponding fresh food combined with its dehydration rate or concentration rate. The reason why the detection value of lead in ginger (in Pb) exceeded the standard may be that lead in the environment was enriched during its growth. The reason why the detection value of lead (in terms of Pb) in dried vegetable products exceeds the standard may be that the lead content in the vegetable raw materials used by the production enterprise exceeds the standard, or it may be the lead migration in the production equipment or packaging materials.

Fourth, the residual amount of aluminum (dry sample, in Al terms)

Aluminum-containing food additives, such as potassium aluminum sulfate (also known as potassium alum), ammonium aluminum sulfate (also known as ammonium alum), etc., are used as leavening agents and stabilizers in food, and aluminum residues will be generated after use. Aluminum-containing food additives will not cause harm to health when used according to standards, but long-term consumption of foods with aluminum exceeding standards will lead to a decline in exercise and learning and memory, affecting children's intellectual development. The National Standard for Food Safety and the Standard for the Use of Food Additives (GB 2760-2014) stipulate that the maximum residue limit value of aluminum in fried noodle products is 100mg/kg. The reason why the residual amount of aluminum (dry samples, in terms of Al) in fried noodle products exceeds the standard may be that individual enterprises use aluminum-containing additives in excess of the limit in the production and processing process in order to increase the taste of the product, or it may be that the enterprises have not controlled the use of aluminum-containing food additives in the production and processing process.

V. Peroxide value (in terms of fat)

The peroxide value is an early indicator of rancidity of oils and fats, which mainly reflect the degree of oxidation of oils and fats. Eating foods with excessive peroxide values generally does not cause damage to human health, but long-term consumption of foods with serious peroxide values may lead to gastrointestinal discomfort, diarrhea and so on. The National Standard for Food Safety Biscuits (GB 7100-2015) stipulates that the maximum limit value of peroxide value (in terms of fat) in biscuits is 0.25g/100g. The reason why the peroxide value (in terms of fat) in the biscuit exceeds the standard may be that the fat in the raw material has been oxidized, or it may be related to the improper control of the environmental conditions of the product during storage and transportation.
