In guangzhou, in the southern country, under the hero tree, there is a "martyr road", which is a road with a similar name that cannot be found anywhere else in China. There is a "Huanghuagang Seventy-Two Martyrs Cemetery" on the Martyrs Road, which can be regarded as a world-famous martyrs' cemetery. Here, the remains of the martyrs of the 1911 Guangzhou "March 29" uprising are buried. Here, haunt the heroic souls of the heroes of the democratic revolutionaries in modern China who sacrificed their lives for the country.

What force inspired the Huanghuagang martyrs to sacrifice themselves for righteousness? Sun Yat-sen once made this statement: "What is the hope of such a martyr who knows that the result will be failure and still wants to do it?" It is to awaken the people by martyrdom. It was with this belief that Yu Peilun went to the soup and went to the fire and stained his revolutionary career red with blood.

He was the bomb king, and when he revolted, he hung a basket of bombs on his chest, and he was captured with all his strength and generously died

Yu Peilun, Ziyun Ji, a native of Neijiang, Sichuan. When he was a teenager, he hated the imperial examination system and once called himself "the evil teenager of the world". He studied in Japan in 1905. At first, he indulged in playing the piano, taking pictures, and so on, and had little interest in politics. Stimulated by the national crisis and driven by the revolutionary trend, it gradually leaned towards revolution. In the summer of 1908, he joined the League and has since been determined to dedicate himself to the country.

Under the influence of the assassination wind, Yu Peilun believed that assassination could not only contribute to the revolution, but also facilitate personal action. So he gave up what he had learned, immersed himself in the study of bombs, and formed an assassination group with his comrades. In one experiment, the medicine bottle accidentally exploded, and he was blown up with one hand. But he did not flinch, continued to study carefully, and finally became the "bomb king".

In the summer of 1909, Yu Peilun sneaked to Hankou and prepared to assassinate Duan Fang, the new governor of the Qing Dynasty, the Beiyang Minister and the former Nanyang Minister, the Governor of Liangjiang. Later, due to the change of action route of the end, it was not in time to start. In March of the following year, he ventured to Beijing to participate in the murder of the "regent" Zaifeng, and the incident was revealed. Later, he went to Hong Kong via Japan and continued to plan assassination activities.

In early 1911, he and his brother rushed to Guangzhou for their lives. Yu Peilun stopped his brother and said, "I will go, you must stay." It is not beneficial for both of them to die, and it makes the parents sad in vain. "After saying this, I hugged my brother and cried bitterly and said goodbye." In Guangzhou, Yu Peilun worked hard day and night despite his weakness, and together with his comrades, he rushed to make hundreds of bombs. The day before the uprising, some people advocated rescheduling, and he said sharply: "If you are righteous and sincere, you will die." Death to the kingdom, righteousness. If we refuse to die, who will die? State affairs will be irreparable! At that time, someone advised him: "Your arm is ruined, why should you go to death?" He replied indignantly, "You are all healthy on all fours, and you are not as good as me, a crippled person!" ”

Yu Peilun was indeed an iron-boned and extraordinary warrior. On the day of the uprising, he hung a basket full of bombs on his chest and fought bravely. Who would suspect that he was frail and crippled? Whether attacking the Governor's Gate or attacking the Governor's Office, he used the bomb as his main weapon and always charged forward, making the enemy terrified. He suffered several wounds, but the more he fought, the braver he became. Eventually, outnumbered, he was captured.

"Dead country, righteousness." Yu Peilun threw himself into the revolution with such ambitions, and went to the execution ground with such a will. In the face of interrogation, he was unyielding and full of faith in the victory of the revolution. When he went to the execution, he passionately declared: "Academia cannot be killed, and the revolution cannot be killed!" "He was only 25 years old.
